LOL, i loved that bit, one of the pit stop crew from the team next to BMW's garage picked up the wheel nut and was like "you guys might need this..."

Posted by stren on May-13-2007 18:47:

yeah it was a toyota technician. He had a funny expression on his face. Some BMW pit crew member definatelly fucked up big time, it made little difference in the end, but still

Enjoyed the race, although there wasnt alot to get excited about..., had been a while since i was able to watch an entire gp. Got pretty pissed though by that spanish director who hardly showed massa.

Anyway, pretty confident bout ferrari, we should be able to win the drivers championship this year. 3 years would be too long tbh for this team.

ehhh i dont think so, looks like mclaren is strong in there as always... i think chances are 50/50

we are allready winning driver and team points... all we need is massa to crash 1 race and we will be all by ourselves on top

Posted by Philby on May-14-2007 03:41:

wow lewis hamilton is winning the championship! what a gun

lol, where was McL the last 2 years ? nowhere

Anyway, I wasnt saying its gonna be easy to win drivers champ but we got a good shot at it. McL havent won drivers since Hakkinnen, they dont even know how it goes anymore

The last year you mean. In 2005 they were the team that won more races, although reliability fucked them.

Although McLaren are on top in both championships, Ferrari clearly have the upper hand on the track in terms of raw pace. It's just a matter of time before they have a perfect weekend and score their first 1-2, mark my words.

yeah and by that time McLaren will have a huge advantage
I wouldn't mind both teams slipping up though

Posted by Timothy on May-14-2007 15:30:

Mclaren has the best drivers but Ferrari has the best car, so I'm not sure how the championship will turn out. But something tells me that the championship will be won by either Lewis or Alonso in the end. Ferrari should have been dominating easily since Renault are having severe problems. It appears that Ferrari has been unable to keep their huge performance edge over Mclaren during the winter so I think somewhere about half way into the season, Mclaren will be just as fast if not faster than Ferrari. Im hoping that Lewis will win it, but most likely its going to be Alonso. Alonso has won 2 championships allready while he wasnt driving the fastest car so statistically its all his.

true... but they are always a strong team, i remember when every race the cloud would hover over the team... "will it break down or not".. it always did

Posted by The_G0dfather on May-27-2007 09:44:

1. ALONSO Mclaren

2. HAMILTON McLaren

3. MASSA Ferrari
4. FISICHELLA Renault

5. ROSBERG Williams

6. WEBBER Red Bull
7. HEIDFELD BMW

8. KUBICA BMW

9. BARRICHELLO Honda

10. BUTTON Honda

11. WURZ Williams
12. LIUZZI Toro Rosso

13. COULTHARD Red Bull*
14. TRULLI Toyota

15. KOVALAINEN Renault

16. RAIKKONEN Ferrari
17. DAVIDSON Super Aguri

18. SPEED Toro Rosso

19. SUTIL Spyker

20. SCHUMACHER Toyota
21. SATO Super Aguri

22. ALBERS Spyker

Raikkonen is in an impossible position, gonna be interesting to see if he'll be able to overtake some on this track. Massa will win it though

Posted by Trance Nutter on May-27-2007 10:02:

nah, the McLarens have pretty much dominated all weekend, the race will be no different. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Hamilton put it into a wall today though, especially if its wet.

Posted by The_G0dfather on May-27-2007 10:13:

they predict rain ? would b nice, monte carlo with some heavy rainfall

Posted by noikeee on May-27-2007 11:16:

Ferrari didn't look so disadvantaged to McLaren in the 3rd practice, when it rained. IMO they are able to take more from the intermediate and wet tyres.

Raikkonen is such a disappointment this year, I really didn't think he would smash the wall here! I think he has more chances if it rains today.

However reports from Monaco right now say it is dry. A big cloud is approaching the circuit though, with 45 minutes to go before the race. Let us have rain please!

following the race a bit on F1live.com, seems like an extremely boring GP

Posted by Quantized on May-27-2007 13:51:

Most boring race of the season?

And i was expecting this to be the most exciting...

Yep.

This was terrible.

Posted by The_G0dfather on May-27-2007 14:11:

Thepast years, the only great thing about these kinds of races was the fact that it was constantly schumi leading the pack, that kinda made my day in the end. Knowing that the boringness was for a greater cause

Posted by stren on May-27-2007 14:27:

pretty boring indeed, I'm glad the strategy worked well for Kubica

Posted by nchs09 on May-28-2007 14:26:

i missed the race but just saw the results.. FORZA MCLARENNNNN!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Omega_M on May-29-2007 05:32:

shit i gotta start watching F1 on sopcast or something.

Posted by rikhav on May-29-2007 19:57:

Hi guys

Not been on TA that much but i guess will be regular now

Ferrari have their best chance to gain all they have lost in US and CANADIAN GP as the tracks there would ideally suit their package moe

Not that Mclaren wont be a threat, but atleast it wont be as bad as Monaco. Ferrari will be able to give a fight and so will KIMI and LEWIS

Kimi has got the best chance to silnce his critics in the next two races

SOPcast isnt bad if you do not mind the Speed coverage of the race. The announcers are trying, but their "oooohhhh....ahhhhh" at every wheel turn just gets annoying.

They have come a long way, but they are still pretty annoying to watch.

The only exciting thing about Monaco is watching the on board footage. The race was boring, but man watching those guys go through the swimming pool, wowowowowow.

WTF happened to Kimi? Lets hope he adjusts to the tyres soon, or his season will be a write off.

Also, how the fuck did Alanso guess right that McLaren would be aces this season? I had lost a lot of respect for them last season, and now this? Kimi has the worst luck

Posted by rikhav on May-30-2007 02:19:

Hey Orko

very true, Alonso so was so confidtently telling the media that he feels Mclaren will be the team to beat in 2007.

Kimi has to be top 3 in next 2 to 4 races to keep his chances of winning the championship alive amd hoping that alonso, lewis and massa would atleast have one or two bad races

IMO, Kimi will shine
