I don't know what you guys are on about... i had to fan myself down after DF got on the decks lol
seriously though...i was pretty disappointed with dubfire...i always thought he was the better half of deep dish, but now i realize why they work together...
mojo was dropping bombs.com...real good set. hopefully next time we'll get a headline set because you know he'd blow it up...
I don't really know if there is a better half of Deep Dish... they've both been pretty bland over the last few years, IMO.
The car is packed, the puff has passed, and its time to hit the road.
See you in a week!
Alright kids, it's the moment I've been waiting for for a loooooong time!! Jody's website says he's gonna be in Denver on May 24th!!

No other details that I can find... So much for Markus (unless Jody is opening for him?).

Updated with dates in June - Ferry is coming back to the West area as well as more dates for Seattle & Las Vegas & Arizona.
Coachella was fun, I'm exhausted now though. Will post pics, etc when I get some time to do so.
thanks

Originally posted by Isolator Completely agreed that Mojo should have been the headliner, what I heard was fantastic and I would've loved to made it there for more than the 30 minutes I got to see. It might have actually been reasonably possible to move around on the dancefloor if that were the case too. While I don't entirely share your sentiments about Dubfire (I thought the intro was actually pretty cool), I can't really say too much about the set in general, I didn't hear much of it. After Mojo, I went to go have a smoke on the roof. I tried to go back downstairs a couple times, but after ten minutes of constant shoving, and retarded douchebags EVERYWHERE, I resorted to the rooftop for the rest of the evening. Standing outside listening to some crappy old school hip hop DJ was the place to be, unfortunately. Is it just me or does it seem like Vinyl and the Church are like this more often than not these days? That's why the Halliwell show on Thursday was such a nice change of pace.

Originally posted by kabelicious The Church is great for having space and not too many drunk asshats but I still prefer the darker, lower ceilinged Vinyl overall. I can deal with asshats (its called throw your elbows and watch how space clears around you) and I think that the Guv at Halloween is crowded, not Vinyl. JZ & NF next weekend should be bangin'.

Originally posted by sunlounger75 LOL, that hip hop DJ on the patio roof didn't even look like he was djing. Why would you mix EDM with Hip Hop? that is like putting trance music with country..Or having Ron Jeremy fuck Jenna Jameson. Just completely ruins the mood.

Originally posted by sunlounger75 The Markus Schulz event IS a SOLID BOOKING FOR SOCO! The first time he has ever come to Denver, FINALLY!!!. If anything Jody will play that event and probably open for Markus. That totally ROCKS KASBA..two of my fav top DJs in one night. Unusual for Denver. Just FYI, I rarely go to many nights at the Church or Vinyl unless it is a special extended set or event, which..hardly ever HAPPENS! If I pay that much to go see a DJ I wanna see 4-8hour set like on the coasts or whatever. Lately, I have just been traveling around the states to other events which is a nice change of pace(LA, VEGAS, DALLAS, MIAMI). Plus, most Peeps I meet on this board from other cities are so much nicer. ANYWAYZ, my b-day is going to be on Josh Wink/SUSHI night! Are you down to party? It would be nice to meet some more locals here in Denver...lol.

Originally posted by Isolator I sort of agreed with you until seeing Halliwell @ the Church and Mojo/Dubfire @ Vinyl... I realize the Halliwell was a rare small crowd for the Church, but I actually had a really good time at one of those clubs for the first time in a while. I definitely went to some crowded ass clubs in Miami, more so than Vinyl, some filled with assholes and some with good vibes. I can deal with big crowds, but I prefer not to deal with the asshats.
I will say that the Church has far more energy usually when it comes to a DJ than Vinyl - partially due to its a Thursday night and not too many yeeehooos come out then. But I still prefer Vinyl as a venue overall.
So no one has found any official details on the Jody gig? C'mon you guys ALWAYS beat me to the punch...

Originally posted by Isolator LOL, yes, he was really really bad. Yeah, Markus and Jody on the same night would really be pretty unheard of for Denver... shit part is that they would probably both only play for maybe 3 hours combined if we are really lucky. The liquor laws in Colorado SUCK!!! That is a huge part of the problem. I'll be downtown flyering for our party on Saturday, but I'm not a big Josh Wink fan (or Vinyl fan, obviously). We could meet up @ Markus? What are you doing on the 12th?
