I doubt energy will be an issue this time around since both teams have technically played only 12 games this season with a full strength squad.

Never can accept defeat - fuckin JOKE.

Milan's DEF played a whole SHITLOAD more than 12 games ffs.

Did you forget they were deducted a shitload of points to start the campaign???
They've had to play their asses off just to get to 3rd...again

Typical ManU scum

Rachel, Sheva the bitch is gone, fuck 'em...this team's got HEART, and
with the defensive scheme they play PERFECTLY, it wont be easy for ya.

But its just so fuckin hard to hate on ya cause i really respect Liverpool and its players so much....

Kaka-Nesta-Gattuso-Pirlo is what we're ridin to (hopefully) our SEVENTH European crown

I dont care how upset Vrk gets, I still think both teams are currently more familiar with beach volleyball than football .

Usually id always back an english team to do well in europe (I lost my voice after the shootout in istanbul 2005) but god damnit, pool fans are getting so cocky im going to back Milan for this one.

3-0 to Milan (at full time not half time ya wanker scousers)

Neville and Scholes are currently ass humping each other on a beach in Greece about to watch a Champions League final they got THUMPED out of (granted - by Milan)...

COME ON YOU REDS!!!

Gerrard just missed a difficult shot.

Posted by Adamo on May-23-2007 19:33:

wasn't that a handball?

1-0 milan

Posted by PurpleHaze on May-23-2007 19:34:

pretty sloppy first half, nothing too exciting to watch...

get zenden off he's weak out there, wtf was he doing 38th minute when he was chasing the ball to the goal line all he had to do was stop the ball and cut in or shoot it one time with his left...

milan isnt doing anything, they cant even clear the ball out well, defence is okay from time to time

kinda boring if u ask me

edit: just got interesting!

Posted by LightsOut on May-23-2007 19:49:

what a weak goal...
clearly off inzaghi's arm
i don't see how you cant call that, especially in a champions league final...i guess the linesman's a milan fan at heart

liverpool dominated, pennant is finding loads of space but with a 4-4-1-1 formation nobody isin the box to get a piece of the crosses...

Look for gerrard to dominate the midfield second half, and zenden to come off for Kewell. Liverpool need to expoite the flanks and they'll be fine, Milan are soooo lucky to be up at half.

Posted by Adamo on May-23-2007 20:26:

peace out. congratulations to AC MILAN

Posted by English Rachel on May-23-2007 20:35:

C*NTERATION

haha I guess world cup anger came out then....

Posted by PurpleHaze on May-23-2007 20:43:

The official rules says it's up to ref or linesman's discretion to decide whether the player touched the ball with his arm inadvertly or was it deliberate.

I think it was accidental considering it was an direct kick attempt by Pirlo and Inzaghi was running only to try to screen Reina in goal. *shrug* Tough luck for Liverpool.

AC Milan lucks out. Liverpool clearly had more possession and chances, but failed to convert their chances esp. in first half and Milan sat back and played their game. Didn't even need Kaka to play well. All Kaka did was that one nifty throughball for Inzaghi's superb finish in 2nd half.

Pennant pwned Jankulovski on the right but Liverpool couldn't get much going. Gerrard I think tried to do too much on wrong time and not enough when he needed to be at his best. Dida made good stops as well.

Only 2 players that did anything of remarkability was Inzaghi and Dida and Liverpool couldn't win. Oh well.

So how much swearing did you do Rach?
