i'd have to say with all honesty myra, i could give you 50 idiots like that guy to suspend who do way more harm than those doing the threads (and then those who copied the 'cool' ones) but there's no point even trying to reason with him, people like that can't comprehend it.

secondly im not saying deleting posts is bad im saying why not just lock the post and them the fall away. there are plenty of useless posts hence why its a forum. randomness could be considerd pointless so why not lock every post. you dont have to defend yourself but there is time where you have to stop and think about it is it really worth the fight? is it really worth going through and suspending accounts for a post? why wouldnt you lock the thread thats all i want to know. the only thing i can come up with is you really want to make people fear anything except people of intrest.

thinking and doing are two different things. i think about robbing banks, banging expensive hookers, and smoking crack all day long. but i only do two of the three.

it's worth it to me because nonsense like what happened last night has happened FAR TOO MANY times (i'll just assume you weren't here for or you don't remember all the "FAO: ____" threads or the "_____ on TA" threads), and it really fucks off the mods that have to spend an hour of their time on a Sunday evening cleaning up the forums. sure, we technically don't have to clean up the forums. i could have laughed and closed my laptop and totally ignored it... unfortunately i care about this forum and many of the people on it and i try to do my best to keep it fun and entertaining for everyone. if that makes me a bad person then i don't know what to tell you.

if actions like that don't go unpunished, stupid shit like that will keep happening. you might think it's harsh that i suspended so many people, but i only did it to send a message to everyone... message being, "plz don't do this again!"

and what fucks me off even more is that in the thread where everyone was conspiring to create a bajillion birthday threads to "FREE" Ygrene, a mod posted that Ygrene wasn't even suspended, BEFORE everyone even went ahead and bumped/created birthday threads... and no one listened to him!

But in this situation, what I remember happening was just someone suggesting it jokingly and other people following through.

If someone said, "Man, I hate that George Bush f.ucker, someone oughta kill him!" and I said, "Hahaha, do it yourself you lazy f.ucker!" and that person went and did it, would I be at fault?

Edit: Seriously, I can say fuck but it censors f.ucker? Man, just ban the word outright if you're gonna do that.

why not set a work filter for birthday then? i mean sadly as it is i do agree that having 2 pages of the same post is very retarded. the fact of the matter is i really didnt think anyone would take notice at my orginal comment but hey people did so eventually at somepoint i have to try and make a point reguardless of how valid or invalid it is. however i stand by my point that a message board is a place of useless threads when the area of the forum is based soley on that useless threads.
