Not paying $40 for this event. $30 is okay.

Sorry to dissapoint you..but Armin will NOT be playing two day event in NYC this year. Because ARMIN is booked@LIVE IN LA. On Saturday, July 14, 2007, Armin van Buuren will perform from 8pm to 4am with a host of special guests on a custom panoramic stage surrounded by the soaring skyscrapers of Downtown LA: A 5000 capacity OPEN AIR BLOCK PARTY...sorry made-event, but LA thing looks more worth it to me.

I will probably go to PVD@Central Park instead. Please try and get Armin back at the TW@Brooklyn Bridge and I will be there.

would you rather him not come at all?

This is kinda sorta bull sh*t because this event was supposed to be bigger than Tobacco Warehouse. It wouldn't be a disapppointment if he didn't make that comment back in March PLUS the next day he'll be in LA for 8 hours outside. I shouldn't complain but IMO feels like we got the shaft...still going though

Posted by AY STAR on May-02-2007 13:22:

i hear ya wai
maybe armin will think its massive
he maybe seen pics of the venue and though that
but from a fan point like us we want more
going from 6 hours for 2 days straigh to one day with 4 hours
its like goin from filet mingion to mcdonalds
we just gotta make the best of it
made events just started a new thing on their message board with feedback
so hopefully they will listen and next year we will get wat we deserve

Pretty much what Wai said. OF COURSE I am gonna come and I believe that it will be a great time. But I know armin hates playing shorter sets, and so do I.

4 hours is way too short esp on a friday afternoon. Yes, many people can take off, but I will JUST be beginning a (Professional) job (hopefully) and cant afford to just go asking for days off. I mean, at least extend the thing till 11pm ffs.

Posted by chimera66 on May-02-2007 13:31:

I feel like he'll probably start early like he did at Tobacco Warehouse but why bother with a larger venue during an off peak time? I went on Friday last year and Saturday was definitely more packed...eh I've seen Armin spin twice this year already and between now and the end of the year I'm sure I'll hear him spin another two times so I really shouldn't complain. This event isn't massive by my definition of the word.

as far as im concerned, he already came in March which was awesome...so this better trump that appearnace...his set was ok but it was fun and it was also 6+ hrs

i would have waited all summer for him to come back with something on a much more grander scale than TW - for MADE to come out with something even more spectcular...he didnt have to come back so SOON. if his tour schedule was to show him coming back in early August somehow i probably would NOT have bought tickets to this. just like im not attending ferry at cielo cuz i feel its way too soon to see the same dj again.

oh, but this is a totally intimate venue, don't you think it'll be a completely different experience?

Hmm, i don't think so. Cielo has such a great almost family vibe. But I could be dreamin, it remains to be seen...

i agree it does have a great vibe, but considering how jammed pack its gonna be for ferry, the vibe goes bye bye, and its pacha all over again.

Here's last year's video of Silence to get every1 back in the mood. It's too big to put on YouTube plus they always fuck up the quality anyway.

ferry was at cielo last yr already so we know how it was. we have also gone to cielo for other events (burridge etc). it got heated inside too quickly and then everyone was heading outdoors great sound no denying that tho and it IS one of the better venues in the city. if u never went to cielo (esp for a trance event) u should def experience it. im just concerned about the AMT of ppl that usually do go to a trance event.

unless its a private event or something(like PVD at ARC which was only announced LAST MINUTE and only to MADE EVENT email subs or Ferry at Cielo LAST YEAR) im not sure how crowd control will be handled at a party for a dj with this MUCH recognition ...esp if they have to let everyone in who bought a ticket.

i have never heard a real stellar review of PVD in the Park since 2004...but if its ur first experience, go for it.

Really? That bad huh? You know someone did tell me he had problems with his apple laptop crashing on him last year in Central Park. Is that not correct?

not to get off subject, but I here that Sensation White will be at Madison Square Garden this year.

Ya know, I kept making excuses here and there on going out to these events. I finally realized, that I maybe getting too old for this shit and there may not be a next year or a tomorrow. 9-11 was proof of that..SO LIVE IT UP!!!
