So, I'm not sure where the confusion lies, but calling Steven a liar after all the support he has shown you guys is really pretty rotten.

after all the support we have shown SSU, saying "Fuck You you TIT" to me could be seen as a little rotten as well....

you see Sheila, if Steven took the approach you just took, things would not be here right now. But he didn't. Steven is an opinionated guy, and thats one of the reasons why we all like him, but it can be very frustrating as well.

If you re read back through both threads, I responded to all of Steven's gripes about last Saturday as to why the club acted the way it did at the door...I personally called Webster Hall's manager to get his official response about why they even list a dresscode on their website. Running a nightclub is a tough ass job...bouncers need to make calls on the fly and sometimes people are going to not be let in...thats the price to pay for keeping a safe place for people to party. in the process of me explaining what almost all club's policies are, I was accused of sticking up for the venues as opposed to Steven's valiant efforts at standing up for the people. Little dramatic if you ask me.

The confusion though, lies with Steven wrongly connecting two completely different door scenarios. The fact that a few people were not being let in early in the night for "wearing sneakers" is not the same reason why you guys were denided entry later in the night. He stated in the review thread that the reason why they wouldn't you guys in was that they were closing soon. Steven mentioned getting texts from Brian, Mike and Ryan about how sick the night was....I'd be willing to bet that one, if not all of them, were wearing sneakers and jeans. Webster Hall is not a posh club where people dress up and go to be seen. Now more than ever, its a no frills, music-driven party. Everyone who went last Saturday had a blast, yet the most vocal person right now is someone who got there too late to be let in. That frustrates me.

I'm done arguing. I don't want to get this to an unreparable place, especially since we have gotten to know you guys quite well over the last year or so. I take back calling Steven a liar, but I am still a little perplexed as to how this even got started.

This is getting way too long, and we've gotten totally sidetracked from the original purpose of the thread....the fact that we have an amazing night coming up this Saturday.

So, in looking forward to this Saturdays party and future CoreNYC parties if for some reason I get denied at the door again for wearing sneakers/tshirt is there someone from CoreNYC who we can ask for to help us get in? Or are we just SOL and have to wait til after 11 to pay reduced? If Steven's comment earlier about the door enforcing the club's policy and not the promoters policy stands true, the promoters won't be able to help us, right? Sounds like the safer move is just to wear shoes and a collared shirt if I'm trying to get in on free admission at Webster.

feel free to shoot me a PM. I will gladly give you my cell # and will personally walk you in if there is a problem at any one of our parties, at Webster Hall, Love, or any other venue. Anyone on this board can vouch for the fact that myself, Kerrine, Frank and Mike are a text message or phone call away from getting sorted out if and when problems come up throughout a night.

I dont think that this issue had anything to do with the promoters. The WH security can be dicks one night, and pleasant the next. its how its ALWAYS been. They change their own rules like they change their underwear.

All I know, is that I am not a heels-wearing girl, and I wear pumas out every SINGLE night, and have never been denied for it. I think its the combo of you boys:

a. not having tits
and
b. them trying to make you pay (notice how they would let you in after reduced list is over.....)

Lets not get all huffy-puffy over SSU and Core (and massive and etc....) because they both work their asses off and both give us great parties.

^^ yea, agreed -- i think it IS the bouncers etc. and their behavior cant be predicted...

i plan on dressing more on the clubby side (as opposed to casual) that night just to avoid problems as well as get there a bit earlier. don't want ANY reason to NOT get in OR to NOT get in for free (im just broke right now )

That was probably the first time I actually thought "wow, zack's pretty drunk"...and I was pretty sober! The way I see it, since only you're playing, the boys get to play drink til you say something stupid.
