I know I dont fudge the numbers when asked. I have a real low count due being in a long relationship. Its when the other people in the conversation start saying their numbers that it gets awkward for them not me. I usually get the responces Jay got when he said 5. When my friend said 53 I gave him a high five and his girlfriend raised her eyebrows. She started busting his balls about his past when they have been together for a year already. Up until that detail came out they were so in love....now shes digging into the past and hes scrambling to explain it. He shouldnt have to explain anything. This is still an issue they deal with. If this topic never came up, they would probably be married.

It's really about personal choice. You have to look at it from both points of view. If he had been honest and upfront about his sexual past from the beginning of the relationship, then she might have not felt the need to dig in time after time. As the subject has never been brought up before, she might feel he's now hiding subtle details from her, and now there's a lack of trust on her part.

On the other hand, the past is his business and what happened in the past should remain so, as it shouldn't affect the current relationship their in. Now it's become a big problem and something's gotta be done to rectify it.

Some people do it. I think it's different for every person... sometimes it takes years for it to feel right to be married, sometimes not so much. My grandma and grandpa got married 1 wk after meeting and they've been married 57 years.

I think a lot of young people are getting married for the wrong reasons, and now it seems like it's "cool" to get married. People aren't putting as much thought into compatibility and long term goals because it's so easy to get divorced. In Brandenton I saw a sign for a business that said 'DIVORCE, ASAP! GUARANTEED IN TWO WEEKS!' I was like "seriously?".

Yeah for sure. But this day and age, for the majority, that's too soon. Just look at LEN's example. Like those two are ready for marriage, lol.

The thing is he wasnt dishonest. Just that the topic wasnt brought up.

See this shit right here is why this subject can get so heated amongst couples. If shes going to be upset of just hearing how many partners, why does she stir the pot further by asking about details? Shes asking about something she knows will get her pissed and cause them to bicker/fight. Girls do this a lot Ive noticed.

So then it's actually a good thing this came up.

It was totally too soon for them...but they wont listen to reason. They are in love after all. ( I think it was doomed from the start but I wont tell him that)

That was a different time though. So much has changed since then. I think it will be really rare as we get older to hear of marrages that are 50+ years and still going.

Not for him..because when they dont have anything to fight about she can always rely on this to really spice up the evening. He does have 53 awesome storys that she wants to know all the details about. Man does he sound defeated when he calls me after one of their bouts.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jul-22-2008 17:37:

Oh god. I get a headache just thinking about dealing with someone like that. Ughhhhhhh.

Posted by Slylee on Jul-22-2008 17:50:

seriously lol

i can't stand drama couples like that. it's like, "oh i didn't realize you guys were still in high school"

Did he know her number before he said that? If he did and it wasn't 54 it is his own dumb ass fault for thinking he could say 53 and she wouldn't start asking questions about it.

Posted by squirrelly on Jul-22-2008 17:55:

my good friend is like that. her and her boyfriend. they are both so jealous it actually makes you cringe. and it's like 'TELL ME EVERY LAST DETAIL ABOUT EVERY GIRLFRIEND YOU'VE EVER HAD, INCLUDING HOW MANY TIMES YOU KISSED HER!'

Too much work for that.

Laid back stress free relationships ftw

It was totally his dumbass fault. He started the subject. I dont care about talking about the subject....just not with someone Im seeing. He set himself up....especially with me in the conversation. He throws out a 53 and then I say my number and he really looks bad in front of her.

Yeah he pretty much fucked himself in the ass. I don't care if I was dating Jenna Jameson I wouldn't own up to 53. I don't personally know a single woman who wouldn't start asking questions and busting your balls with a number like that.
