You are right to some extent....what recreational golfers do on the weekend is not a sport...what the professionals do is a sport.

i also think cricket (the short 20 over format) should be a part of the olympics. They have shortened the game down to 3 hours so it makes for enjoyable tv watching rather than mundane 5 days of men in white shirts hitting a ball with a piece of willow.

does anyone know where I can watch events streaming and on demand online other than CBC Sports? NBC has some videos as well but blocks non-US IPs. Also tried using a proxy but no luck.

There are so many different formats you can have too. You can have individual stroke or match play and team stroke or match play. With golf on the uprise in popularity across the world I am sure we will see it back in the Olympics.

Definitely. There is talks about bringing it to 2016 Olympics, but who knows.

I guess it wouldn't be any different then the Ryder Cup or President's Cup format. Except instead of having North America (or US) vs. the World it would be country for country.

But they could do similar formats with Match Play, 2-man Best Ball, and maybe 4-man Gross Score or something like that.

If they swam naked it would cause extra friction and that would slow them down....that and shrinkage would be a major issue.

lol seeing as he has to do a doping test EVERY day (and volunteers to do so!), I am thinking he is the cleanest mofo out there.
