Originally posted by Trance-MB FYI, I have registered in 2003 first, but lost my login name after a while so registered again in 2005. Also I'm not a Tiesto fan at all. I like to listen to A.S.O.T. to get some new tracks, which also doesn't make me an Armin fan. I admit I like many to the track they play, but just 20% of those I think are great. I'm happy with that 20%. My musical taste hasn't evolved since the 90's. I still like the Jam&Spoon, Scooter, Chicane, God's Groove, Faithless, Capella, Red5, BT etc etc tracks I liked back then. But you can have an opinion about someone or something without being a fan. Even without being a fan you can be postive about someone or something. I think my musical taste is diverse enough by the way. Don't be sad for me, look in the mirror first.

Originally posted by Chimney Wow the last line was amazing. Only your overwhelming arguments can surpass your flawless intellectuality. First you claim that talent and accessibility have to do with geographical positioning and language, you defend and reflect everyone says about Tijs and in the end you throw a cheap punch-line towards a remark made upon your musical taste. If one has an opinion, one states it once and moves on, however it seems you turned this into an everyone vs. your opinion thread. So keep telling yourself you don't like Tijs & Armin and keep telling everyone else the same thing, sincerly I couldn't care less, not anymore anyway. When I look into the mirror I see someone in constant phases of evolution - musical evolution in this cases - but like you yourself said, you see a stale reflection of the 90s. oh yea and....keep on trancin' home-boy.

Originally posted by Krypton Anyone wonder how an average DJ could get to such a superstar status? My answer is the man behind the name has created, or had created for him, a brand, Tiesto that has had mass market appeal to mostly European dance scenes. His mixing is nothing special, but yet, the guy is a super star. It's all about how a DJ brands himself, promotes himself, how well the record label manages the brand. Tiesto is the Wal-Mart of DJ's!

Reading through this, it appears that there is no clear reason to his success. He just is as he is. To put it another way, he is just be as he be.
Take the sloth. Through the examination of other species journey of evolution and adaptation, the sloth has no explanation to how it could have possibly survived so many generations without extinction to other incredibly dominant species of its environment. It refuses to increase its reflexes or grow some sort of natural defense. For a reason that will always be unknown to mere mortals as ourselves, it just is
For the explanation of Tiesto, it's futile to discuss this in our mortal shell. We must look outside of ourselves, go on a spiritual journey to the other side. The paradox of this, much like an Eistein-Rosen bridge, is that we can never come back to detail our beauty.
The mystery of Tiesto should not be discussed. Think of it as the universe's logical paradox, one which holds the fabric of space and time in peril.
