haha chill out dude its just an opinion place fills up quick cuz its a smaller venue. overall good show tho

i got there at about 10pm and there were plenty of people standing around the dancefloor. enough to fill it quite a bit. there were only a few people actually dancing and it stayed that way pretty much all the way through James' set. i was standing by the entrance and people were steadily pouring in, but not getting on the dancefloor and choosing to congregate all around it. after Reed got off and Cory got on, people migrated from their places around to dancefloor and began to go to it. i even commented to Carlos about it.

I didn't mean to come off as harsh, i'm just trying to state the facts. i understand the closer you get to a headliner, the more packed it gets, but i've seen openers pack a dancefloor hours before the headliners are up.

Reed's set made no musical sense...it's like he threw a bunch of tracks into an ipod and hit shuffle.

idk...i guess i tend to overthink things sometimes due to my extensive musical background and knowledge. i guess all it boils down to is that you enjoy the show and have a great time. i have to say, i my eyes, that's the best show i've been to. I've been going to shows since Tiesto in 06 @ Warehouse Live.

Drugz.

Because everyone needs them to hop on stage every once in a while.

Um yeah that would have been my dumb ass fault. I got on and set the mixer to all the setting that i like and never looked to see if the crossfader was off and guess what it wasn't. so i bumped it and the music cut off for a brief sec.

Lesson learned

i figured it was something like that. saw you mess with the crossfader after that. oh well, no harm done.

worst mistake I made was hitting the track selection buttons on the wrong CDJ (the one playing live rather than the one I'm cueing up) Crowd seemed to forget about it soon after. lol

I'm quite certain Benjamen D never asked for that guy to do that. Ben's a tad more polite than I am. If it was me opening and I see anyone on the stage or in the booth doing that shit, I would have asked them to leave.

Yeah she's fine. I'm pretty disappointed that I missed their set and she felt bad for leaving. We both agreed that the event should have been held at Bar Rio. Here's why:

When its THAT PACKED at Riches. It becomes a general pain in the ass when you either need a drink from the bar or ya gotta take a piss. I hate, hate, hate, hate fighting through crowds. Didn't mind it when I was younger but..argggg [/end rant]

The bar is just as bad at Bar Rio. although when i asked how much the water was at Richs, the dude said $3, so i hand him $3 and he says give me one more. i was like ok, maybe i misheard but he proceeded to put my extra $1 in the tip jar. Maybe it's just me, but i don't usually tip all that much for a water. now if it was a beer or something, i would have definitely given a $1, but i don't feel like taking a bottle of water out of some ice and handing it to someone warrants a tip usually. Kinda annoyed me a bit.

I think I know who you're talking about. He's a fcking douchebag that always demands tips. I only go to the bar on the left side of the stage because of that now

Posted by veRGe on Feb-19-2009 22:12:

Wish I could have gone :P

Oh f*** that man, what a douche... Sad thing is he would just make you look like more of a douche if you complained about a dollar...

Yes but tips should be me doing him a favor for his customer service...not an obligatory payment because he feels he's entitled.

He told me that you always tip on every drink. I thought it was called a tip. Not a service fee. Wonder if I can get the dousche in trouble. It was a bitch move.

if you're looking at the stage, it's the left side. it's not the one by the entrance.
