i am eying the sept 17th/18th - 29th/30th...a lot of things need to happen before I decide whether i'm in or not

and to get an invite would be to die for

I take it that the opening/closing times stay consistent and are strictly adhered to, even for the closing parties?? I was looking at the lineups and it seems like there are an aweful lot of djs playing on certain nights, seemingly leading to shorter sets. Kind of disappointing as I would rather see one or two djs do longer sets, rather than four or five play less than 2hrs each.....

For example:

unfortunately yes, but its not really followed for the closing parties, and DJ's almost always play 2 hour sets cause for examples there are 5 rooms at space to there are dj's everywhere

how reliable are ibizabus (www.ibizabus.com) and discobus (www.discobus.es) ?

looks like a nice cheap way to get around. also how safe is that shit at night when leaving a club? im not too worried about it, but i figure id ask just in case.

never taken ibiza bus but the disco bus is soooooo clutch coming out of amnesia! just make sure u take the right one cause i ended up on the wrong side of the island once at 8am and it was a bitch getting a cab back to my hotel, plus its like a little after party on the bus with all the drunkards lol

well ibiza bus and disco bus is actually the same company, so its gotta be the same thing. and my gf speaks spanish fluently so i guess we shouldnt have a problem making sure we get the right bus.

I went in 03 and had no idea what we were getting in to leaving amnesia at closing with no ride. Finally we got a gypsy cab with some girls in the same situation as us. We squeesed 5 people plus the driver in a little compact car. the whole time the driver was trying to grope these girls while he's driving a 100 m/h down some dirt road. Between gropes he would slap his chest and claim he was the king of this island. LOL. Good times!

as soon as we got back to the hotel we askd the concierge to please get us a rental car.

yeah i took a couple gypsy cabs in ibiza, but never again after i almost got killed comin out of pacha. this dude looked like fabio and did 140kmh down the sketchy highway often going down the road the wrong way, then almost crashing into a couple trees and almost crashing into a building a couple blocks from my hotel.... not a good move

http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/hotel-guide/

click the area you want and go based off of price and read reviews.

I stayed in 2 different hotels while there, one in Playa d'en bossa and one in San Antonio. Fiesta Hotel Playa d'en Bossa was decent, right on the beach, and Space was right across the street which was great, and close to a lot of places to eat and drink. The cost was 72 euros/night for a single room.

I stayed in Gran Sol hotel in San Antonio, which was very affordable (48 euro a night I think for a single room), but nothing special. The good thing about the hotel was it was close to Kanya and some other good restaurants on the water.

Hope this helps a bit!
