Good news about the weather. Still gonna bring my gym sack with sweaters and such inside.. can never be too careful. Big day tomorrow see you all there!

Posted by scatterbrain on Oct-31-2009 04:15:

I love Sasha, but damn I'm getting so tempted to cut the set short, make the journey over and see Felix. He's so going rock that spot HARD!

Posted by sako487 on Oct-31-2009 09:20:

So yea, first time ever going to a rave. Just wondering, what can I expect? Who would you guys recommend to see? I'm thinking Armin, Lawler and Felix for sure. And I know this sounds really stupid, but I've heard some stuff from people saying there's going to be HIV needles going around, should I watch out for that or what?

Posted by sako487 on Oct-31-2009 09:23:

And theres a 21+ ID check, and I'm 17. Are they really that strict on age limit or what?

Posted by Waterproofpaper on Oct-31-2009 15:58:

The event is all ages.. 21+ is only for getting alky.

boy im glad they add another HUGE stage outside the sports arena. MM is usually fun but the overcrowding tends to be a problem year after year! this is going to be NICE!

Posted by nix0807 on Oct-31-2009 17:43:

Boo.. Not going to make it to this.

Have fun everyone

Only if you want to be cool.

People will be lighting up, pill popping, and/or drinking heavily, not shooting up. Needles are not a common sight.

Keep in mind that past midnight it may take some time to move between stages due to the large crowds. I recommend that you check out the main stage (outdoor) and the stage inside the sports arena for at least a little while so you can see what an indoor and outdoor rave is like.

Exactly right. The massives are getting bigger and MM was incredibly packed last year.

Gonna be wearing this mask on my head and purple plaid! Looking forward to seein you all there.

A few comments about the night.

(1) I'm glad that the main stage was moved outdoors. The temperature was perfect.

(2) The GA line was ridiculous. I got into line around 8:30pm and didn't get into MM until over an hour later. Either (a) hire more security and/or (b) have more entrances to increase traffic flow. It reminded me of EDC 2008, except a little more organized.

(3) I liked how the flames would sometimes shoot out and illuminate/heat up the crowd.

(4) JOC did a great job in his 9-11pm time slot. HC and Sasha did not fit in at all. It has been said earlier in this thread that JOC should have performed before Armin for continuity

(5) Armin's set seemed kinda meh.

Posted by Nerologic on Nov-01-2009 15:50:

Ummmmm

I think I just have one word to say for now.

Sorrrrry!

I woke up about 20mins ago at Hazard park. The sun was beaming through the glass of my truck and woke me up. That kinda only means one thing: cheap vodka. I don't mix well with it :/ So if I annoyed you or bugged you, yea it's the booZe. No drogas here.

I am at a Starbucks right now somwhere in downtown, my friends are at an afterparty. Viva La Tech? Or Avalon. I guess I just need to wait until they call me.

Posted by david.sound on Nov-01-2009 17:18:

1) The lines were ridiculous.

2) Sasha played Love Stimulation. O_O

Posted by Waterproofpaper on Nov-01-2009 18:32:

Girl and i left early because the girl wasnt feeling too well. She didnt want to leave the mainstage because of the lines to get into the mainstage and the cold outside.

The mainstage setup was top notch though.

Anyone catch Lawler? How was he?

To be honest, I was too tanked to process any of Lawler's set. It was the end of the night so I couldn't dance to it. But M.A.N.D.Y was sick, they played Push Push. I caught the end of Tiefschwarz, pretty good too.

Posted by modthispny on Nov-01-2009 20:29:

I heard armins set was cut abruptly....anybody know details? I know on his Twitter he thought he had a 3hr set

Posted by Maka08 on Nov-01-2009 21:15:

Anyone have the sets for download, or tracklists?

Posted by Sound O fTrance on Nov-01-2009 22:28:

The whole setup was executed very poorly. From waiting in line for more than an hour squeezing and being trampled through a five foot gate, to the absurd line that you had to wait in to get into the arena itself.

Go Ventures, please, if you plan on executing a flawless event with top acts:

1. Don't be cheap

2. Invest properly in security and coordination.
