when in doubt pick the tallest one ian, i'm not even kidding.

i haven't watched enough of their games to make a good decision on which is best and given they are all more or less the same height we can't go with jay's idea. maybe neuvirth because he has experience winning although on a lower level.

If Bergeron can't go against Tampa, that's a huge loss for the Bruins.

Posted by swanson on May-10-2011 22:38:

we'll see if vancouver drops the ball (or puck, really) again

Posted by Rodrico on May-10-2011 22:44:

ugh, with Tampa playing so good, and Vancouver looking to lose...I wont have my dream money paying finals. *sigh* Ive already written off my bets. Wish I had bet Tampa to win. Paid soooo good.

IM a sharks fan...but

IF DETROIT (devil) WINGS AKA red wings,

come back after being down 0-3,

watch out...

ps. nba: teams that are down 0-3 just went to 0-99 THIS year.

Detroit has too much momentum right now.

Still no updates on the COD?

Medical examiners were expected to conduct an autopsy on the body of Derek Boogaard Saturday to determine the cause of death, however the results likely will not be released for some time. "I don't think we have any answers as to what happened or why it happened," said Ron Salcer, Boogaard's agent. The news has shocked the hockey world, as many former teammates have characterized him as a gentle, thoughtful player off the ice, which is a stark contrast to his on-ice demeanor. Due to the head injuries believed to have been sustained by Boogaard during his playing career, many have attempted to use this to explain his passing, but there is no evidence to support that theory as of this time. The Boogaard family has agreed to donate his brain to Boston University researchers as they examine brain disease in athletes. We'll pass laong more news regarding this tragic story as it becomes available. May. 15 - 12:26 pm et

I read an article about him that said he had been undergoing treatment in the league's behavioral health/substance abuse program.

Posted by Zyklon_Jay on May-16-2011 17:14:

could be...but i'll wait until the COD is determined before jumping to conclusions. There is also head injuries to consider, family history, and size.

I'm not a doctor, but being 6'4" i am well aware that bigger people have many more health issues due to height/weight. (Don't have them yet, but during my yearly physical i get screened for things earlier in life than a midget person).≥..imagine being 6'7" and 260lbs! One of the dangers is abnormal heart size which can reek havoc on blood pressure and cause cardiac arrests in seemingly healthy individuals....not that any of this happened, but i wouldn't quite jump to drug use being the cause right away.

Hockey is easily the most demanding sport in North America. Americans like to think it is football...but they play 17 games a year once a week and have 1 minute breaks almost between each play. You want to see what an nhl player who was a 4th liner looks like at 40? It ain't pretty, most of them can barely walk.
