as per B&B FB page:

House Room: D-Formation
Trance Room: Max Graham

I assume these are the final 2 names? While I believe set times are not announced before the event, the order is.

Louis, can you confirm the order for the house room?

Posted by HappyDude72 on Sep-08-2011 02:01:

With so many DJs in the house room too, will it be "showcase style" as in the trance room ?

Posted by FunKenLouis on Sep-08-2011 07:44:

Trance Room = 1 headliner to be announced

house Room = 1 headliner to be announced (6djs in total)

Here's the house room order

- The Cube Guys
- Rosabel
- Headliner
- Mark Anthony
- D-Formation
- Hernan Cattaneo (3 hour set)

Cool ?

well done Louis.

Rosabel starts bit later, many more will get to see these guys now compared to last year so that's nice.

You guys should sell tickets just for Hernan's set

so whats the final line-up?
you promised before friday

Max, re-read his post

Adam, he's got a 3 month residency @ Stereo, so that fits. He has used it to develop a respectable following too... a great example of how Stereo uses their residencies well, while others may accuse them of lacking diversity in bookings. I'm not saying it always works, but in his case it certainly has.

I'm aware of that. I guess what I'm saying, is that not enough? Or does his appearance at B+B basically count as one of the dates on which he would otherwise play at Stereo? Wtvr, not like I'm going anyway. Unless they somehow actually take notice and consider my idea lol.

Posted by WittyHandle on Sep-09-2011 02:38:

I doubt (but don't know) his booking at B&B is connected to his Stereo appearances, but he will bring a crowd because of them. It will also serve the other way as well, as it will introduce him to a new audience.

Posted by HappyDude72 on Sep-09-2011 03:51:

Amateurs...
Check the B&B lineups from prior years and you'll see that Dimas (D-Formation) has done the B&B before so it won't be a new discovery.

I totally agree with Dannyboyrm's idea for the order of the DJs. The way the lineup goes now it's good DJ, bad DJ, good DJ, bad DJ, ... :-P

Thank god for the shows between DJ sets or the transitions between some of those sets would be... awkaward !!

I am an amateur... to massives. I gave them up when my big boy teeth came in.

Btw, you look like a chipmunk

I really enjoy the rave scene because I'm really into funk\poppin' styles of dance. I really never minded about the people, I always got there for my own fun. But, don't take this question like I'm just judging peeps but...I know that the Black and Blue was at first, primarly, a ''gay gig'' kind of...at least that's what I always got told. But I do know though, that through the year it gained in notoriety and it seems that it's no longer a gay event (even though I know it's not reserved for gay people). I really have nothing against gays, in fact I like how open minded a lot of them are. But I look young, I'm kinda cute and dance well so anytime I go into a rave\after hour, I always have to tell one of them ''sorry I'm not gay'' and it's all good. I often go solo into these kind of events and I'm intrigued by the Black and Blue, so I wonder if I'm gonna have a bad time as an heterosexual, going there solo. I've been also at the Stereo one time when heteros were in minority, but still there was ''some kind of respect'' around the place that, the gays wouldn't think everyone is gay you know what I mean?

Anyway,is the Black and Blue a good place to go for me or will I just be 1 hetero out of 1000 ppl?

Again, got nothing against gays.Just don't want to be some fresh meet.

Posted by otown Matt on Sep-09-2011 11:44:

Trance room at BnB is pretty hetero, so you'll be fine there ... stay on the outskirts of the house room and you won't get molested either lol

even if you go into the middle, thick of things, in the house room, you may get hit on by some guys, but they are respectful and know there are alot of straight househeads there for the music ... just stay outta bear country! hehe

Posted by Spin Laden on Sep-09-2011 12:35:

last year the house room had lots of ladies when you first walk in, the event is getting more and more mixed and is appealing to heteros now. Case in point: all my female friends are going, while many of my male friends who went last year are not hesitating anymore.

D Formation makes sense, he was at Beach Club recently, so were Cube Guys and much of this lineup has been at Circus in the past year, so the financial, cross marketing and familiarity elements were there for the taking.

Anthony is a fixture at B&B (he is Montreal's version of Danny Tenaglia, imo) and he, along with Dimas have a good Stereo following too. You will get Stereo, Circus, Red Lite, Beach Club (and Black and Blue old school'ers, these are the ones quite familiar with Rosabel and Anthony) all showing, so Louis and Co knew what they were doing in trying to snare ppl from all over but at the same time save on booking fees and keep the house essense of Black and Blue going.

we've had this discussion before many times. You'll be safer than most women who attend regular hetero nightclubs, that's for sure.

Posted by jt889 on Sep-09-2011 15:40:

no offense, but after all that wait, this is underwhelming line-up (house room).

seriously, it's my first b&b and I'm not excited for it.
