coped from some blog i read

Obama shoveled money toward corporate America, banks and car manufacturers. He championed the bailouts of the same Wall Street firms his very partisans blamed for the financial collapse. He picked the CEO of General Electric to oversee the unemployment problem. He appointed corporate state regulars for every major role in financial central planning. After guaranteeing a new era of transparency, he conducted all his regulatory business behind a shroud of unprecedented secrecy. He planned his health care scheme, the crown jewel of his domestic agenda, in league with the pharmaceutical and insurance industries.

He continued the war in Iraq, even extending Bushs schedule with a goal of staying longer than the last administration planned. He tripled the U.S. presence in Afghanistan then took over two years to announce the eventual drawdown to bring it back to only double the Bush presence. He widened the war in Pakistan, launching drone attacks at a dizzying pace. He started a war on false pretenses with Libya, shifting the goal posts and doing it all without Congressional approval. He bombed Yemen and lied about it.

He enthusiastically signed on to warrantless wiretapping, renditioning, the Patriot Act, prison abuse, detention without trial, violations of habeas corpus, and disgustingly invasive airport security measures. He deported immigrants more than Bush did. He increased funding for the drug war in Mexico. He invoked the Espionage Act more than all previous presidents combined, tortured a whistleblower, and claimed the right to unilaterally kill any U.S. citizen on Earth without even a nod from Congress or a shrug from the courts.

I could be wrong but I tend to think of these things (Bachman, H. Clinton) in terms of poisonings, not plane-wrecks or bullets. There might not be much of a crash-pulse. The wound channel isn't apparent. Poisons - particularly good ones - take their time.

This point is as eloquent as it is fitting; Poison is both the female killer method of choice, as well as the preferred method of femail suicide.

The night Osama died, Trump got a head-shot, too. His ambitions may have been halfhearted, anyway, but in conjunction with Trump's then current public assurances about Obama's birth-certificate and the timing of the announcement to blatantly, "accidentally" interrupt that buffoonish minstrel's prime-time slot, he could not have been more dead to the political world. Trump just fucking got dominated. No if's, and's, or but's.

And i think you're going to see more of this from Obama as the race heats up. IMO, That was a glimpse of of things to come - in one swift and frankly stunningly efficient, he drowned Trump like a disabled puppy on a broke farm. He waited (and baited) Trump to stand out on that ledge so far, by cleverly avoiding the birth issue, until there was no return then unleashed a fury on the Ginger Baldy, in the form of the infamous document, the killing of Osama (and let's not forget nation security, especially relating to 911 was one of Trumps sound boards) and then put him down with the after dinner speech.

This was a case of precision orchestration (birth cert and speech) and good use of timing (osama).

You also caught a glimpse of the real Obama from that recording when the mic was left open, and he, much to Weepey's embarrassment, showed how politic he can be.

Don't get me wrong, I think Obama has fallen way short of what he should have been and in that respect has been somewhat a failure - but it's not that he's done things badly, it's that he hasn't done enough with the opportunities before him.

But just wait. I've got a strong feeling you'll see more of this surgical strike behavior from Obama when candidates start showing up for real. There's a reason he beat all those other to the post - it wasn't luck, and with Candidates like Bachman and Romney, he won't need any luck.

Finally some shit needs to be laid to rest:

REAGAN, TAXES: Taxes, especially for the rich, were far higher under Reagan than they are now. Period. No discussion, no revision of history. The fact he lowered them towards the end of his presidency is actually the illustrative starting point of Reaganomics, which all economists now concur, simply does not work (see the wealth divide & poverty gap for more details).

Ah, it all makes sense now.

Liberal, conservative, who cares? I think the reasons behind all this turmoil are people being stupid, various institutions keeping people stupid and smart people not breeding.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Jul-02-2011 21:49:

Ah yes, eugenics are the answer! So glad someone finally had the gall to just come out and say it.

I wonder what year will be the time where a person writing this kind of message would be put to jail.

For all i know, the US govmt probably are already looking at your post!!!

Agreed. I for one would have much preferred a cataclysmic economic collapse. And its not like he got most of the money back or anything either!

How nave of him to try and get support from the very industries that could bury any reform!

Yeah, and if theres one thing the last administration had, it was a plan for Iraq.

Lol, fuck up of epic proportions, they had to remove it from the pledge afterwards, but the damage has already been done. Especially as the info came from a study focusing on 1880-1910 and nothing to do with slavery.

Ouch. more here....

They keep this up and they'll be no one else but Obama running.

Posted by Joss Weatherby on Aug-14-2011 17:12:

lol this crazy bitch won the straw poll... Haha republicans are so fucked. You guys split your party between the moderates (er, moderately stupid) and the fucking insane. Good job guys. You got half your base wanting to vote in religious fundamentalists and the other half with no one to vote for.

Oh and Romney's "Corporations are people" comment is really going to help out his campaign, he was the only "legitimate" one up to that point.

What a back-peddling dumb whore... "uhh I meant submissive in the other sense of the word, you know the one that doesn't mean what it means."

Posted by Lira on Aug-14-2011 18:26:

If there's a God, an almighty all-loving God, a God that Godly Goods everything that's God-like, I beg Thee: please make Palin and Bachmann run for presidency in the same ticket. I don't care who runs for vice-president, just do it!

And please fix my car while you're at it

Way to try and change the context and apply your own POV to her statement. From your own posted article:

quote:
"Do you think submissive means subservient?" O'Donnell asked.

"Not to us," Bachmann said. "To us it means respect. We respect each other, we listen to each other, we love each other and that is what it means."

What's wrong with that answer? She isn't backpedaling at all. Anyway it doesn't matter... the Iowa straw poll is meaningless. The people voting in it have to pay to vote, and the candidates' campaigns pay for space on the grounds and to bring people in and spoil them with food and shit.

Ron Paul comes in 1st or 2nd in every straw poll in the past however many years, and he never wins anything when the general population begins to vote. You're just looking for convenient distractions to point to while your Dear Leader is a floundering failure. Not going to work.

UHHHH... You could say the same thing for her... She is applying a totally incorrect meaning to the word submissive. So either she is stupid or she is back-peddling.

Why leave only two alternatives?!

Have some decency! It was conjecture in an argument between Nou and Kevin, for God's sake. You're bitching that it only made it to two options?

That is an accomplishment, my friend. You wouldn't scoff at a still surviving cancer patient with 60% of his mass constituted by a tumor. What could possibly bring you to dismiss this proof that miracles can and do happen, every day, in the instance that a second alternative was even considered.

How dare you?! How dare you shirk the prospects of this arguments future away with such a half-hearted quip. Oh, it has no future, what-so-ever, but this isn't something that's discussed in its hospital room. It's not here to listen to the sniffles of its grieving friends and relatives, despairing how its end is nigh; how its life-span is cut short under the scrutiny of its inspection. Look at the tablet at the foot of its bed.

CMO - DNR is what is on its first page. You know what those mean? Comfort Measures Only. Do Not Resuscitate. It has no factual basis. It's poorly researched. It's lucky to be a conditional ad hominem, at all, yet here you are to add to the shrill chorus of voices despicably mocking it for everything it isn't. Leave it alone, if you can't bare its sight.

And the smell. That awful, sickly sweet perfume of death, hovering, in the air.

I used to think you were a nice guy but I'm not sure, anymore.

EDIT: Usage
