He called 911. The POLICE DESPATCHER (actual title of the person he spoke to was Police Communications Despatcher) told him to stand down and avoid conflict.

But nah, you got a gun, he looks a bit shady, time to regulate these punks. Superjudge and executioner to the neighbourhood rescue!

Wrong again; Trayvon's father lived there meaning he had a right to be there and could walk unimpeded as a family member of a resident. Of course Zimmerman couldn't know that but again, by his own admission, he didn't actually ask.

You realize 911 dispatchers field calls for all emergency agencies, not just police. What do you call when your house is on fire?

He's 4 inches taller, keep that in mind. Now do you honestly think Zimmerman looks more imposing?

Seriously though, tough guys are not immune to fear. In fact it's usually the reason they buff up or take up a vile attitude in the first place. But he who threatens also reaps, and only the messed up or psychotic will attack the underdog. Obviously I'm way out of my zone here so I won't try and pass judgement on the case at hand here, but it's something to consider anyway.

According to pretty much any index you look at, he's at least 30 lbs overweight. Trayvon, incidentally, fits right into the ideal weight category in pretty much every index.

190 and not an inch you can pinch. The BMI is a terrible way to judge fitness.

Height is not really an advantage when the other person has a weapon. Crazy people carry weapons and are unpredictable, Zimmerman looks nuts. So ya, i would be more careful around zimmerman.

People tend to look a little different than normal when they just got their ass kicked and killed someone.

I think you are not used to black people and you are acting on some antiquated programming in the reptile part of our brain. 1 black kid in the day is not scary unless you have some unresolved automatic responses that should be treated. I mean if he isn't in jail, he should be in a fucking hospital. I just don't get how a death can result in nothing. It wasn't accidental. Someone somewhere had some form of responsibility. You can't have someone die like this and now have blame somewhere.

If you don't , then it would be an accident. And it wasn't an accident. So ...
