Sonic 2. I still enjoy it to this day!
FF7 deserves a mention too. No other game has engrossed me like that one. Time well spent!

Battle Realms - Pc
Nfsu 1 - Pc
Ssx On Tour - Ps2
Counter Strike
FFXI - Once you get the basics down it gets hard to stop playing. They could of done a bit better job on the gameplay but for the first dinal fantasy online game they set a fairly high standard for the future. I've yet to play WoW, but from what I've heard it goes above and beyond the final fantasy MMO experience.
Other great games:
-Super Mario Legend of the 7 Stars
-Zelda: A link to the Past
-Goldeneye:007
-Deus Ex
-Killer Instinct
-Metroid Prime (older version)
-Counter Strike
-Team Fortress Classic
-Need For Speed: High Stakes
-Fable
-Starcraft
-All FF games besides X-2
Those are just a few which come to mind. Any opinions these listed games?
Quake 1 CTF with the grappling hook
This is an extremely difficult question. As of late, my top favorites would be Resident Evil 4 and Ninja Gaiden on Xbox. Of all time though... It would be close between Rastan, Contra, SF2, or MK2. I still play all of those old school games all the time. I will until the day I die.

Three games that took my breath away (no particular order):
1) Street Fighter II (arcade version)
2) Final Fantasy 6 (final fantasy 3 in U.S.A.)
3) Xenosaga I
The experience of these three games totally threw me for a loop. Better games have come along, sequels, ripoffs & the like. But these three gave me a strong emotional feeling that I can't forget. They will always be Classic, in my mind.
All Metal Gear games.
It's old skool now but Quake 2 hands down!
dead or alive 1 2 3 4
Dead or alive 1 - dreamcast
Dead or alive 2 - dreamcast
Dead or alive 3 - Xbox
Dead or alive 4 - Xbox 360
Streets Of Rage 2. Hands down.
That game had everything you ask for and the music is classic.
I really like Urban Reign, it's as close to a Street of Rage for PS2 as you can get. Some pics here
