four years ago and you still remember it and care enough to tell us about it. yeah wouldn't have been better to just ask her. my autism is tingling
never mind, misread your post.

Originally posted by Lira I wouldn't call it OCD. If it's someone he says he wants back in his life, it's only natural he would confirm. Hell, if I were single and saw someone remotely similar, I'd ask if it was her and, if it wasn't I'd introduce myself either way |

Originally posted by Joss Weatherby We were best friends and grew up together, she was like a younger sister, but in HS, maybe earlier I got a crush on her pretty hard, confessed eventually (thanks to TA lol) and was rejected. We remained friends, and it was fine for a while, but she eventually got to just be a shitty friend/person. She'd constantly pull stupid shit, and towards the end anytime I'd get mad at her about stuff she'd be doing she'd throw the "I don't love you and never will" thing in my face in an attempt to just shut me down. She did that about 3 or 4 times and we grew apart, slowly getting longer between talking to each other. The last time we saw each other we didn't even have a fight, but a few weeks later I found out that in HS she had a crush on my best friends brother in law, who was basically the biggest piece of redneck retard ever, and I was drunk and emailed her and basically called her a POS and that it was funny that a manwhore like my friends brother in law wouldn't even go out with her, and well that was that. Haven't talked since. Sucks though, cause her family was friends with my family, and her parents were awesome and really liked my brother and I, we were like each others parent's kids growing up. My dad has actually talked to her more in the last 5 years than I have. But yea, in the last year or two I haven't really given a fuck about her. I realized she was never worth that emotional effort, and the only thing that our friendship had going for each other was nostalgia. We weren't even "good" friends when we hung out. We'd just lay around and watch TV and not even talk or do anything, we'd act like we were 10 again. Totally pointless and more of a crutch than a friendship. |

Originally posted by Redd holy shit. well okay, with that much history it would most likely have made a conversation with her quite awkward. you should have just said "hi [name]" and walked on. |
making her feel awkward would have been a little victory in itself though, wouldn't it?
hey [name], you've sure grown a pair, catch you on the flip side.
then do a barrel roll into the sunset
totally funny you mention this whole story nou. i went the same thing recently.
there was this chick i really liked , but she just wasn't in to me. long story short, the other day i'm walking to the bank and there she is looking hawt(hadn't seen in over 10 years). she was waiting for the atm when she saw me and she turned around in my direction smiling and i just walked right by her, pretended i didn't recognize her. i'm in i different place now and didn't see the point of reliving the past. c'est la vie
pretending you didn't recognize her..
BAZINGA
Yea, if its 100% going to be awkward and you know it I just avoid it, Larry David style.
For example, if it had been a month earlier when Citric and I ran into each other last summer there woulda been no fucking way I woulda gone near her till she left.
You should've stripped down to your undies, approached her and said:
"Hey, I changed, and it's time for some brotherly love, Sweet Tits McGee!"
Depending on the look on her face, you'd either get free and easy chika-chika-bow-wow, or you'd apologise and say you thought it was someone else... even if it really was Allie
(Was it her name?)
Lira; "I was" or "I were"?
On a totally unrelated note, I was very confused why so many girls today were wearing southernish dresses and hats... Then I remember its fucking Derby Day.
Can't complain, lots of busts exposed.

hehe sorry, started using "main forum" about two years ago. c0r never got my attention till then.
and yeah Lira you did, and it confused me
Ah, spotted it! Yeah, I say "if I were" even though that's probably not nearly as common as "if I was" - I was forced to do it in school because that's correct even though no one speaks this way
so it's grammatically correct? if so, I just learned something. yay
