I've been to Montreal a handful of times, but still never to Stereo...gonna finally go in November for muthafuckin Digweed. I don't even remember the last time I saw Digweed, it's been that long. Maybe 10 years ago? Lol.

Is this smiley new?

Also, this place is soooo dead/lame.

Time to spruce it up, then

Coincidentally, one of the recommended vids after I watched that one was this one:

^ Considering the audio doesn't work on the second one, they both play well together.

Being a nurse, how does your shift work go. Do you work nights for an extended period of time and then rotate back to days or is it a week to week basis. Like you work nights 2 or 3 days out of the week and then the rest of the day of the week you work days. How does the shifts work at your job?

I do two weeks of days and two weeks of nights, repeat. 7 shifts a rotation, 12 hour shifts. I work a traditional, or continental, line. So I work a weekend (Fri-Sun) with the two days following that weekend off, then I go back for two days and have the following weekend off, back for two days, off for two, repeat.

Works great for me. I really enjoy the switch and having lots of days off, especially midweek. I'm a night owl and I usually only sleep 4-6 hours on the reg anyway...so the changeover doesn't bother me at all.

There are dayday/nightnight (4 shifts on, 5 days off) lines, but I don't like that.

I wondered how it would work as a nurse. My dad works for the city and every year he has to rotate to graveyard shift for 3 months. But leading up to the time he rotates to graveyard they give him like 3 days to 7 days off with pay to adjust to the graveyard shift.

There's a lot of flexibility, really. My line is straight 12s, but there are lines of 8 hour shifts (NO THANKS!!), the dayday/nightnight as I already mentioned, a combination of 12s and 8s, and then of course part time. There are also straight nights lines, but I only know 1 person who works that line.

So yeah it's good - cause obviously not everyone can handle the same sleep/wake changeover and whatnot.

Is Scotland being granted independence? read something about a 'vote' on bloomberg about an hour ago...

I've also read that Scotland would honor the crown, in spite of a looming separation from the 'United Kingdom' ? I think this is pretty cool, as these countries all share a rich regal past.

Posted by Fledz on Sep-16-2013 01:29:

They will be voting on it soon.

Three hard boiled eggs, two bags of tuna, one whole bag of salad.

I feel like Schwarzenegger right now. KETOSIS FTW!

Ran 3 miles (12,000 steps) I avg 10k a day. Ready to start a new week.

Posted by Sushipunk on Sep-16-2013 07:33:

You buy tuna in bags?

Posted by Dykes_on_Jay on Sep-16-2013 08:16:

All of the fish that i buy comes in a bag. I even have the pleasure of watching it be killed. The Chinese hate fucking fish (they love eating it, think like normal people hate Arabs hate). The other day I picked a live flounder from one of the many tanks filled with deliciously edible and not so sure if edible creatures from the sea. As I smiled, satisfied with my purchase; the woman behind the counter proceeds to lovingly bludgeon it's head against the counter for a solid 10 times. She hummed a happy song as she did this. Two or 3 people took pictures.

A more honourable death could not be had. It was fucking delicious.

Coming from a land locked city, I have never perpetuated so much genocide and ruthlessness to sea creatures. I love it. Animals are so disposable here. Heaven.
