Wife's test was negative, thankfully. Now we can go back to gathering at Republican conventions without masks!

Here's a new piece on the immune response, which we were discussing yesterday: https://arstechnica.com/science/202...is-complicated/

I keep reading the US is sliding back into another lockdown. I'm sure Arbiter will be suitably disgusted.

The good news here is that outdoor music events are allowed again, so some festivals are resuming in an altered format. I'll be able to get at least one rave in before the second wave sends us all scurrying back into hiding.

Did you hear about the social distancing festival they're putting on in Newcastle?

How weird will that be?

A few clubs with outdoor spaces are open again in London. I'm itching to visit but will stay away like a good boy. I envy those who can though.

I've booked tickets to this one: https://alfrescofestival.co.uk/boutique-alfresco-2020/

They haven't gone into detail as to how it will play out in practise, but I'm hoping it will be significantly less shit than the thing you've posted.

Oh God I hope they can figure something like that out for Movement next year.

Paranoid London is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Have you ever considered throwing a barn rave?

Now I know this is going to shock you, but there is actually and old pole barn (lololol, pole) here on the farm that my late paternal grandfather used to store hay when he had beef cattle. I have since converted it to a place to process, store, and season fire wood. However, there is in fact room for a smallish barn rave inside. Note: getting power to it will be a bitch unless you bring an appropriately sized generator. But those are loud and will compete with all oontz musics.

I would imagine that a black light would discover cum stains everywhere.

I can only presume that each stage will have limited capacity that will be strictly policed, and they've figured out the maximum number of people who can safely dance in the given area. I've seen footage of "socially distanced" outdoor parties in Berlin etc. and it doesn't look too bad. Having space to dance is no bad thing, although I'm hoping nobody's gonna police you hugging your mates during a particularly spangly breakdown.

Posted by Dykes_on_Jay on Jul-17-2020 16:34:

I always knew you needed a hug.

Posted by Trance-M on Aug-09-2020 20:11:

Like expected the number of new cases go up again, but a bit more than we would like to see. Mostly in the big city areas like Amsterdam and Rotterdam and meanly because people just are stupid.

After all research and trails I still see people who are convinced HCQ and zinc would be perfect as treatment and that they stopped using it because it's too cheap. I don't get it.

Finally got the first positive test back for a member of our household. Now we see how bad the wife's lungs/kidneys take a beating.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Sep-02-2020 22:08:

Ah fuck dude, NOT your wife?? One of the kids??!!
