Re: drug metabolism. It's often a precaution or in some cases a contraindication if you're of Asian or African descent. You don't hear of many issues with Caucasians, whether they are blonde, brunette or fair skinned.

That's with prescription medications though, I'm not entirely clued up on anaesthetics.
