It's so bizarre,

Linguists from my theoretical background have no problem calling me Lira - it's how I introduce myself, and how I call myself under standard conditions for temperature and pressure. Yet people from the opposing theoretical background (including my current advisor) refuse to call me anything but Marcus.

I don't understand why...

So my history teacher plays pretty fast and loose with the accuracy of his facts. I'll correct him sometimes, but other times its pretty awesome to just get so much wrong.

Finishing up WW2 and he said Speer was acquitted at Nuremberg. So horribly wrong. He was the longest imprisoned member of the Nazi party, serving out his sentence well into the 1980s and was the last prisoner at Spandau. I just let it go. Far too tired this morning to make an ass of him.

Mainly why I hate school. I am thinking about dropping out again and looking for work. Too depressing having to ask for money (and he always gives me more than I ask for, so its even worse feeling).

I just happened to stumble on it cause a guy I know from journalism school now works for a local magazine as a sex columnist. She came here and he interviewed her and talked about the movie.

As for girls looking up to her, why not?

She was on MTV. A lot of teenage girls' dreams is to be a star on TV. Whether it was for the right or wrong reasons, I definitely think girls looked up to her. Hell, with the way people are, I wouldn't be surprised if she still has fans and followers. From teen mom to teen whore who's a millionaire.

Think about it, though. Girl gets pregnant at 16 and gets a gig to be on a MTV show.

You don't think there were girls say 10 to 14 years old thinking, "Oh wow, she's great."

I think teen mom was a fucked up show, actually.

In a way it was educational: don't have kids when you're young! Protect yourself!

Then again, I think it may have given young girls the wrong impression about what life is like having a child that young. Lights, camera, action type shit.

It's not grown adults watching, it's teenagers - a lot of whom idolize just about anything, especially if it's on MTV.

You mean when she had a kid as a teenager? Or when she got her tits done with her parents' money? That's when she was a role model? That's the pedestal she fell from in your eyes?

I don't even know why people are talking about her.

She had the kid to get on a reality show. That then drys up so she approaches a porn production company to make a film.

She would live like a pig and eat from a trough if it paid or got her slightly famous. The fame, especially the type she is going after, isn't worth anything, and once the agents, managers, PR's (etc) take their slice she'll realise just how short that money is.

Such a hollow existence.

I love the wide ranging size differences in button up shirts. The shirt I was wearing today, size XXL. The shirt I bought today M.

The XXL looks like a medium too. Not sure if I bought a midget brand shirt at one point but yea. Odd.
