So last night at work I took care of my next door neighbour, which wouldn't seem like a big deal if my husband's family hadn't been at war with him for years, lol. Started in the 80s with noise complaints about my inlaws, and something about my father in law threatening to kill him.
He calls the cops on us all the time for noise complaints (a couple times specifically about splashing too loud in the pool) instead of just coming over and knocking on the door like a normal person. He cut branches off trees separating our property so he could look into our backyard from his deck, and he parks his truck on the road in front of OUR house and lets the oil drip all over the road. He doesn't work yet complains about typical weekend noise in the summer, and also will get up at 7 fucking am on a Saturday to mow his goddamn lawn.
Anyway, I knew who he was, dunno that he knew who I was. But I took really great care of him, and am looking forward to seeing him next time I'm going or coming from work. I'm sure he will put it together after last night. He was a lovely patient, very polite and friendly, very appreciative, etc. Not at all like he is on home turf, lol.
I figure it'll be a good opportunity to say "Hey man, we're really sorry about the noise at times, please don't hesitate to come knock on the door and let us know when we're out of line, no need to call the police." Jesus, we're reasonable people and don't intend to be disrespectful. I've no doubt he'll realize that now after last night.
God, he even made a pervy comment at the beginning of the shift. I said I had to do an assessment and he said all hungry old man "You can do whatever you want to me." Ughhhh.
Fuckin Karma, hah.

Yeah I thought so. The funny thing is I was wearing a watch, but since I never usually do I had no idea what time it was. I'm sure I bought a drink just before it ended. Hah.

Ugh I know, but you took SO LONGGGG. I am not a phone checker, I despise using my phone when I'm out/texting crew to meet up and shit. You gotta get better at navigating a crowd. Aside from going to the bathroom once or twice, and to get drinks, I was in the same spot for almost the entire night!!
LOL, i don't even know what i was doing. i know i stayed at the front until the last song came on then walked around a bit, hit up the washroom. OH yyea there was a point i had to wash off the rum and coke on my arms and couldn't find running water. i don't know when that was though. young and dundas is a lot further from the hearn than i thought. not making that walk again
