Drugs and Dj's

Hello all, first of let me say, that i did search for this topic and didnt find it. So if i am covering a topic which was already discussed, could somebody please let me know.

But i was actually wondering which Dj's do drugs, and what they do?

I know from reading MixMag, that:

Timo Maas often smokes weed
and John Digweed does not.

you guys got anymore? please post.

PS i am really interested if Oakenfold does them or not, i know he has used to in the past, like E, but im not sure about the present.

course DJ's do drugs.... like it or not drugs are part of the whole club culture. it dosnt make DJs any less a person or DJ just they do drugs. id say coke is probably the most used drug for DJ's but its the same as clubbers, it depends on how they are, if they wanna feel high and mighty, theyll probably do coke. if theyre more fun DJs then theyll probably have the odd pill.
but ofcourse your not gonna be able to find out easily if a DJ does drugs or not, cos as im sure your aware of, drugs r frowned upon, so obviously the DJs gonna wanna keep it secret

I just don't see what difference does it make whether a DJ uses drugs or not. As long as it doesn't affect their quality it's all good.

One thing I was wondering about was that Marco V doesnt smoke pot! Dj Noise offered him some and he said no last year.

I find this topic fascinating for some reason. I suppose it might have to do with that sometimes, we build DJs up as being demi-gods practically. The fact is that they're just regular people, with weaknesses and vices just like the rest of us.

The main reason why we are having so much trouble promoting Trance as the new form of Dance music is because of this drug use. I can't tell you how many times I've had to not only sell my radio show to a club (to be hosted live), but also tell them that they will NOT have drug problems. The thing is, I can't guarantee this.

The big record companies aren't picking up Trance artists and promoting them along with Moby or Eminem because our music brings such a following of drugs.

I would like to less drug use and more love for Trance driving people out to my live sets.
