Good news sites

Anyone know of any good news sites besides cnn, and bbc and all the general news sites, something like drudgereport.com where you get all the latest news, sometimes before the major players get it??

Somebody mentined www.debka.com before.

Personally I like this site: http://www.bayarea.com/mld/mercuryn...es/iraq/weblog/

It has an Iraq war tracker and although doesn't provide headline articles, it contains interesting side articles. For example: For any of you history buffs out there, John Keegan makes a comment on the war with Iraq.

He basically reams Iraqs military planning and tactics and rightfully so

Seriously, what is the best news channel and/or news programs/shows in the States for War coverage? Just came back today and CNN, MSNBC (goodness, I'm not even thinking about putting it onto Fox) are all blah compared to the BBC (which is doing a rather decent job, IMO). I'm just looking for a tv news service that in their presentation of the events shows the least amount of bias (whether that bias be pro- or anti-war in its leaning).

CBS tends to do a great job, but you'll only be able to catch the nightly news, 60 minutes and 60 minutes II (the best one of the three) for news coverage.

newshour with jim lehrer on public broadcasting is also a great and fair news cast.

foxnews is still my favorite to watch, both for entertainment value and its news content (yes i know you guys hate it, just let me be). i find that foxnews has a lot of great sources in the miliary and intellegence and so usually gets stories out before CNN, MSNBC and such. plus because of thier huge ratings they have cash to bring in quality analyists

Cheers! I've also been checking out C-SPAN, I think they show the briefings given by Central Command in Qatar in their entirety (well at least they did last nite).
