i dont get my s/pdif coax. connection...?!?!
wsup guys...
does anyone know why i am getting crisper, more precise sound from my analog (rca left and right) rather than my s/pdif coax. connection?
heres my setup if it helps any...
2 numark TTX1 TT
numark PPD01 digital mixer
i connect my TT's to my mixer analog, and then i have the s/pdif coax (out) into the digital (in) on my soundblaster audigy platinum on my comp.
one of the reasons i bought the mixer was because i wanted to have the excellent sound quality form the s/pdif coax and optical connections on it... and im not sure if im using it properly
thats basically it
if n e one knows wuts tha deal, help me out...
thanks
late
probably because the original audio source is analog (vinyl)
the only real way for you to have that digital connection to be of any good use is if you spin cds and you have a digital signal going from your cd players to the mixer then to the computer
sound quality loss occurs whenever an audio signal is converted from analog to digital or vise versa

so what's the point of the digital out on the turntables?
