Angry My Technics are FUCKED UP????

I dunno what the deal is. When I cue up a record, its bass, then rewind, bass, then rewind, and when I go back forward with the record it goes off track. Its never done this til' a couple of days ago, and I thought my needles were dated and I needed some new ones, so I bought some brand new m44-7s and it still fucks up. I'm assuming its something to do with the tonearm, but why does it all of sudden happen now? Will someone please help me out!

peace,

Steve

Hey Steve,
I know this may sound obvious, but ill mention it since you did mention what youve done
Have you reset tone arm weight/height and anti-skate settings?

Another thing is this... are both tts doing the same thing? Does it do it on all records? What about is you cue up on the middle paret of a track?

Hey Ricky,

Yeah, its not the tone arm weight/height I'm assuming, its what it calls for on the cartridge instructions. Maybe I should fool with it more. I thought at first it was just this only record and it happens on all of them now. Only the one TT is doing it, I've switched needles to see if it was that and it still happens. So I'm confused, I haven't tried cuing in the middle of the track! I immediately put my old needles back on and I'm taking them back tomorrow, it was an obvious waste of $80. I think I should just keep playing around with em'. Something will give. I also have a 5 year warranty on my tables, but thats only last resort. Thanks for the feedback Ricky.

peace,

Steve

what do you have the weight set at?
it's most likely that
try adding a half gram or full gram of weight, that should solve your problem

do you by any chance have that extra little screw in weight attached to your tonearm??

if not then it's probably (as already mentioned) the height or anti-skating
