Same here Pretty old school now though...but it's good for short commutes. The sound quality is great and they get pretty loud (if you buy or use different headphones other than what comes with them).

I used to have a Rio SP-100 MP3CD Player.

It was everything I wanted, until it got stolen.

ok... since someone made a thread about this topic... i thought i might ask...

i'm thinking of buying a portable audio system for about 200$ Cdn but I am also willing to spend up to 300$ Cdn (but preferably 200$ Cdn around)

Can anyone give me any suggestions??

plz take into consideration amount of music it can play at once, battery life, decent anti-shock, decent sound quality, and most importantly, RELIABILITY

i don't really care about size and how it looks like... as long as it's not a horrifyingly ugly 1 lb piece of crap...

i was thinking of getting minidiscs or mp3 players but the ones i've found seem pretty expensive and i'm not exactly sure how practical and convenient they are...

I bought an samsung yepp mp3/cd player and it was pretty cheap (90$) but it lasted me for only 4 or 5 months before it sorta broke down...

so yeah.. can anyone give me any suggestions??

why dont you just get a regular diskman? My shockwave has lasted 2 years already, and its still doing fine.

That's correct, Andy. Please PM me your big point here, in the unlikely event that you actually have one

the thing is you can only put up to 70 or 80 minutes max on a regular discman...
i want something to be able to carry up to 2 hours of music at least (livesets)
