Audiogalaxy 0.606 contains spyware

For those who downloaded new update for Audiogalaxy and
don't have any firewall that detects that crap immediately
(I mean any kind of spyware).
Read it's readme.txt file. There are couple of words about
WebHanser in there.

So lame...

eh..? .606? i'm still using .605. lol. but yeah, i know about the spyware and apparently...it appears to be in the other program that comes with audiogalaxy sat. the program called gator or something? yeah...that one.

I'm talking not about those 2 pieces of crap you can
choose during installation.

I'm talking about the third one called WebHanser that
is installed automatically on your system without any prompt.

And that really pissed me off

ahhh yeah that webhenser one too. hehe. yeahhh. that one has the spyware. if ya didn't know there's a program out there called ad-aware that helps remove spyware from your comp.

get it @ www.lavasoft.com i think it was.

Hi there.
I know this is off the topic about spyware but at least it's got something to do with Audiogalaxy.
I am firewalled and everytime I try to run the proggie I see 'Error connecting to master server' I've read many help files and searched any info on the net but no luck I've tried setting up Proxy and stuff I still can't connect...
Anybody ever had that problem?

yah, a friend of mine had the same problem. he could never connect to audiogalaxy sat's server. i'll ask him about it tomorrow for more details for ya trancefan.

heres an idea... i have about 110 songs in my myplay.com locker...we should all get one and post our info to log on, thus, a universal sharing place, like napster.. and yea, im sure this shit has been said b4 in the past.. but whatever.

i've thought about it! i'll make account there.

you should make a thread about your idea, it's an excellent start. since napster is r.i.p, there's no great searching tool out there right now, anymore. I sometimes use 3 tools to find a song, usually I don't even find it. We should start our own TA sharing network.

It will only remove the spyware. You'll be amazed by how many freeware/shareware progs have spyware in them. I run ad-aware on a regular basis...

As for sharing files with myplay, sure it works, but it's not a good solution for large scale sharing since people tend to forget to log out, and the account gets blocked. Posting myplay login info on a public board like this is bound to fuck things up.
