Rasta Xpanding

Damn I've been realizing how much my music taste is expanding... in the recent months I've realized how many more progressive and breakbeat tracks, along with melodic trance of course, i've started listening to. I think it's due to the fact of all these great artists like Gabriel and Dresden on the progressive end and artists like Grayarea and Momu on the breakbeat side. The great thing is that all these tracks fit so perfectly together on the turntables, they're all part of a bigger picture that is EDM.
Tracks like:

Grayarea - Yewminist
Momu - Donner Pass and Dive
Infusion - Legacy (Junkie XL Remix)
Gabriel & Dresden - *Just about all of them*
Sander Kleinenberg remix of Justin Timberlake is addicting as well.

Well, whoever else is realizing this, rock on... the way I see it is my music taste is EXPANDING not SHIFTING... this music is beautiful.

yeah
my taste has been expanding these past few months too.
I think it all started when I saw PVD and he blew my mind. I finally realized variety is wonderful, and it is also the key to sucess as a DJ; PVD plays breaks, techno, prog, trance, etc, thats how he stays on top of the game.
Ive been listenin to all sorts of stuff lateley.
as you can see, my favorite tune at the moment is Moguai - Get On, very electro-techy-funky....just great

I've been expanding for a while now. I've been listening to prog for a long time but am still liking it more and more each day. My tastes are expanding too. Its good because the same stuff can get old after awhile. Gotta keep it interesting.

I really like hearing different DJ's in the club spinning different music. It's always nice to hear something different that catches you off guard where you can say 'damn thats good'.

Yeah, my taste has definately expanded the past 6-8 months. I used to listen to uplifting melodic trance almost exclusively, but now I've gotten more into prog, breaks, electro, techno, etc... Variety is the spice of life, and it guarantees you'll never get bored. I can't say I've ever been happier with my music selection.

Thats the way to go man. Subgenre's are all labels. Expand your musical taste buds until you can call yourself an electronic dance music fan rather than just a trance music fan. Right now I myself like trance, tech-trance, hardtrance, psy, progressive, breakbeat, and ambient; and let me tell you electronic never gets boring! The only thing I cant seem to like is techno and hardstyle

Hey Beema, listening to that Moguai song, definitely banging track dude, I'm really digging it too. How come there are so many great tracks that go by unmentioned in TA???

I'm gonna make a thread with some of those tracks.

Finally, something that makes sense

For me, it holds too.. I listen to various styles of EDM, mostly tech-house and techno though, but some progressive, breaks and a bit of trance is also appreciated
