Scooter's rip offs / remakes

i've heard many people say that most of Scooter's productions are rip offs

let's list all of the rip offs / remakes Scooter has made. here are some i know:

Weekend = Push - Strange World

No Fate = Zyon - No Fate

I'm Raving = ??? (I've heard a rock version of this)

Ratty - Sunrise = Vengeance - Song To The Siren (well, that's sketchy, cuz Vengeance isn't the original artist either)

How Much Is The Fish = some Irish native tune, i believe

what else?

just wanna add to the thread that i reaaaaaaally hate scooter, and that i almost lost it when i heard "weekend". Everybody at the part was like..."hey thats kinda cool melody".....i was like "no its not, is Push's melody".

Just hate scooter, taking credit for other people's work, when are they gonna make something original, and when is that guy gonna stop screaming? that his job.....he screams, and get paid.

Which sounds like "Vincent De Moor - Shamu (Armin Van Buuren Remix)".

Scooter is so lame that they're cool. They're the Iron Chef of the dance world.

Posted by Lira on Apr-17-2003 15:16:

Scooter - Don't wase no time >> Dylan Rhymes - Naked and Ashamed

Good Scooter tune's (ie: the MC is quiet and there's no blatant rip off, as far as I know... if they are rip offs I want to know what the original version is ).
Scooter - Time and Space
Scooter - Return of the Future

Hmm.. maybe i need to make these "reviews" myself next time.. i can't remember everything so i just posted what a friend of mine told me. I haven't really been seriously listening to any Scooter's more recent stuff for a while because the last few years have been more or less disappointing. But Pulstar, Level One & Liquid Is Liquid are from the latest album "The Stadium Techno Experience", which i got for free last week though. It's the most boring Scooter album ever, only a few decent tunes and rest just below average or worse.

Scooter - Roll Baby Roll
This one is from their new album too, I'm sure I heard the melody somewhere, I'd like to know where they stole it from, so that I can have the original of it.
Here's a sample to make it easier: scooter_-_roll_baby_roll__sample.mp3

Hope someone can help me.

When someone else redoes a track its called a Remake - but when scooter does it its ripping them off?

Scooter are hardly likely to be ripping off people and not paying royalties are they.

Like it or not, if scooter is adding speeded up 1970's vocals over undergronud trance classics and selling thousands of copies to silly 12 year olds then they are helping these underground acts.

If scooter is indeed paying royalties to M.I.K.E for weekend, then thats a good thing since weekend will probably sell more copies than all of M.I.K.E's productions combined.

Whether or not M.I.K.E stole it from Vincent De Moor in the first place i dont know.

You all lot have the cheek to say that M.I.K.E is getting ripped off - when most of you have never bought anything of his in the first place. People on here think just because they've downloaded 30gb of trance mp3s in the last year that they are somehow helping out the artists.

that's why i asked for rip offs and remakes, because i don't know which ones are rip offs and which ones are remakes. it doesn't quite matter, though, i prefer the original artists to get the credit for what they've done.

Well i doubt scooter's record label would allow him to be ripping off tracks - so they are probably just all remakes or something im going to bed its late or something.

Remake/rip off, I don't care.

But lets face it, other artists do maybe one or two remakes in their lifetime. Look at the list Scooter have done. Do they actually have ANY of their own ideas?
