Death, Dark, etc Trance?

can someone /anyone recomanded me dj's and or tracks that are on the death ... dark side of trance?

i introduced my friend to trance and i showed her a site, it wasn't that great but it showed the siimple idea of what trance was like.. and she really likes the death, dark stuff.. but i dont know much about trance let allone the djs that spin that kind of stuff..

plzz if someone could help it would be greatly appreciated

Also,get all the tracks from Brain,one of the biggest acid trance producers out there. Junk Project's old tunes are all acidic(unlike the new ones that are more regular trance,like Composure),check out Braintool or The Trial.Hope this helps,I'm sure there are more ppl here that can help ya out.

LOL,that was bound to happen.I just remembered that I had that list,so I figured what the hell,Spyder's friend might like it,even though it's all acid trance.And they are still good tracks,even tho they're old,right?

So,what is death trance then?Care to explain?

It's the darkest side of trance music before becoming EBM (Electronic Body Music), and cointains a huge influence from hardcore (that's why the music is blatantly "darker" and stuff). Just try to imagine what a hybrid between trance and hardcore would be like if it weren't too fast (which would be trancecore). That's the best explanation I can give

And EBM... look for Frontline Assembly, Front 242 and the more industrial stuff like Pitchshifter and even Rammstein

Believe me, I've done lots of reading, and I know what I'm saying. Death trance is strongly linked to EBM (as Acid Junkie also stated), goa and hardcore.

Silverbath and Magic Impuls aren't what i'd call dark or scary. When the bass drops right after the builds in both those tracks, I feel sooo good about life. Uplifting in a different kind of way I guess.

LOL! I�m in no way shape or form saying that Mike�s tunes are the be all and end all of dark trance. What I am saying is that some (not all) of the tunes produced by him have a darker, ie. melancholic, air to them. Dark trance doesn�t have to be just aggressive or scary � it can be sad, sombre and melancholy in my view.
