Smile Ulrich Schnauss is A GENIUS!

Ulrich Schnauss - Mid 20's from Germany

This guy is a freakin genius. His 6 track cd is amazing and I heard Far Away Trains Passing By that I just had to get the cd copy of it. I looked in so many stores, finally found a store in the us that is selling it, only 3000 cd's made apparently. So amazing, I suggest you find a cd place that sells it and buy IT NOW!, what a gem it will be. Probably in a few months, it will be a collectors item or later down the road. Such talent this guy has, I know a guy who listened to his 6 track and started to cry because it was so beautiful.

His Nobody's Home is really amazing. I thank Nick Warren's GU for introducing me to it. I am also trying to look for Ulrich Schnauss's CD.

Hey, im just getting my hands on his stuff. The following is from a Nick Warren interview:

On Disc One there's a track by Ulrich Schnauss, which is a mid-tempo track. He's an amazing producer and his album last year was my favourite - it was also Tom Middleton's favourite album of the year. In five years time I think he'll be huge. All the stuff he makes is really beautiful but unfortunately he hasn't got into house music just yet. I spoke to him recently and begged him to do a club track so hopefully he will.

Hope he turns out this good.

Hmmmmm...Ullrich is on Morr Music,if I'm not mistaken.Let's see if I can't track that down next time I'm in Germany. If you like Nobody's Home, you should get Knuddelmaus(means Cuddlemouse ) as well, really cute and melodic downtempo thingy.

Posted by TranceSeeker on Apr-18-2003 09:41:

Yeah this is amazing music.
I got the cd too, nobody's home is the best track although the others are very good too.

Finally listened to the album!

Great stuff, but i agree with nick warren:

or a "club" remix would do.

yeah i heard him on Nick Warren's new GU album. fucking amazing
nobody's home blows me away everytime i listen to that CD.
i'd kill to get far away trains passing by on vinyl. do you know any place in North America where i can find the vinyls?

Posted by infinity HiGH on Apr-19-2003 07:28:

yea, this man is amazing. real talented.

I've only heard Nobody's Home on GU024 and I love it. I'm definately going to buy this if I find it. Also on GU024 CD1, checkout Yunx - Thinking About Your Next Move. Very good track as well; I definately need more of their stuff but it's hard as hell to come by.

I downloaded the tracks a few days ago and they are so unbelievable.... Nobodys Home is so sad, but also so happy in someway... damn.. I want more from him

3000 of the LP exist

i wait till cdn customs allows my copy to pass....wtf!

Posted by SRP-ReAlign on Apr-27-2003 18:15:

have just ordered the LP on vinyl from an online record shop in Germany. They still have copies left of the vinyl. For 10 bucks shipping fee they even sent it to everywhere in the world. www.cybercd.de

Posted by Civic on Apr-27-2003 19:28:

i bought the CD yesterday

What do you mean by 1500 Copies from the EP ? Is the EP Version the CD One?

Or are there two LP Versions?

Posted by torontotrance on Apr-27-2003 19:38:

1500 12" exist
3000 CD's exist

that is according to city centre offices (the record label)

Posted by Prototrance on Apr-29-2003 15:17:

Anybody know any online stores selling the Ulrich Schnauss EP/Album on CD??

I checked the City centre offices records site, it appears as an EP, which I presume is vinyl. And its all in French as well.

Been addicted to 'Nobody's home' since buying GU 24.

Cheers

Nick.

Check the city centre office website....can't remember the url exactly. They have stores that sell their stuff, all around the world. Try there, well worth it. (put the label into google, should come out with a hit)

Thumbs up

Ulrich Schnauss : Far Away Trains Passing By << this tune is so awesome - 2 months ago, I heard it for the first time and fell in love with it.
When did he release his first single? I never heard of him before.

Yeah did this:- 2 problems.

1. - It looks like its only on vinyl.

2. The web site is in French and I'm British. Meaning, I speak no other languages than my own and I even speak that badly!

Posted by torontotrance on Apr-29-2003 15:32:

label is in english mate

http://www.city-centre-offices.de/index.html

anyway it lists these stores for the UK
http://www.roughtrade.com/
http://www.boomkat.com/

either of them should have a copy in cd or 12"
