why is every thread getting locked?

there is a good reason yours got locked. if you would have read starfox's post you would know there is an entire site dedicated to the hub, and there is a forum there where you can post about problems.

because some people cant stop posting threads insulting eachother and they just turn into big flame wars that waste space on these boards.

I am glad Arty locked that last one before it got out of hand.

The flame wars are getting out of hand these days. What's this world coming to?? Can't even go into a thread without seeing some bashing/flaming. Can't we all just get along?

i dont understand why people are so hostile on here. i literally have been so unhappy with the attitudes on ta, i feel i need a leave of absence or something. anytime anyone says anything, someones ther to jump down their throat. yes i know ive said some stuff too, but its all either been in good fun or in defense. i just wish we could all go back to being friends and enjoying the common love we all share- for trance.

I think people are just being ****s. People have their own opinions, and some people don't like it when they voice their own opinions, or they have an opinion to the other person's opinion which the first person doesn't like...hence flaming.

I mean, grow the fukk up people. This is an internet forum. Wow you don't like someone on these boards. So? Don't flame him, you're turning this place into a Jenny Jones episode. Use the friggin PM button and bash him all you want there.

If someone flames you, don't bicker back. There's no need to be "high and mighty" and be better than the other person. Wow, you called me a cock. You are teh great. I'll get on with my life now...

As for the other thread...well...it just turned into one big chat room, and we all know my opinion on that subject.

perhaps its because its the easter holidays and here in the uk all the school kids get 2 weeks off school (i asume its the same world wide) and some of these kiddies think its ok to act cool on the net

It really sucks how I've watched forums degrade over the past year (I only started using forums beginning of 2002), and almost every single one that I am one (bar one) is having troubles.

Never-ending flame threads, obnoxious/offensive members, lack of hummus (thats humour for you non-b3tans ) and stuff like that.
You'll find that more and more young teenagers are joining up to forums (internet isn't taboo anymore, not everyone who uses it regularily is a geek), and the immaturity just seeps throughout the threads. Now obviously not all young'uns are bad, but the hormonal and competitive nature (the site is mainly male) of teenagers leaves no room for tact or logic, boiling down to bare bone name calling in most cases. Being only 20, it feels a bit weird to go on about immaturity and the like, but thats what it basically is these days.
If I see another "How do I pull chicks guys?" thread I may shoot myself, it's just a little sad IMO.

That all said, this site is the ultimate for trance info, and there are loads of nice ppl, but an equal (if not more) amount of f*ckwads, and it makes it difficult to feel as a real community (tho you guys do very well considering the global extent this forum has)

what you say is totaly true, the internet has lost its "geek" status, had i told my mum i was going to be meeting a load of ukta's at some event say 8 years ago when we first had the net at home, she would have had a fit, when i went to global gathering last year the only people i knew where ukta;s and me mum didnt even blink a eyelid

and i do agree with your thoughts on the male-teenager thing to, thats probably true to a extent

lucklally the uk forum hasnt gone downhill yet (and hopefully never will) ukta chat rules rather to

well put... i post on other forums too and soem of them are going downhill as one. the one that is drama free has an average age of like 24 and i think it makes a signigicant difference. also, on that board we all frequent the same club so we have met in person and it is much ruder to flame someone who you actually know. i don't think these kids would have the balls to do that if they coudl actually put a face to who they are flaming.

Thats exactly the same with the one forum of mine, we had a big meet-up house party last week, and big meet-up at PvD@passion in Feb.
We are all friends, so its awesome
And we got a fair amount of non-UK ppl there too
