Satan (eek!) Darude has come back rehabilitated and kicking?

well... to say the least, I'm quite surprised with his new album "Rush". i haven't heard so many different tracks in diffirent styles, ranging from avb'ously melodic "bitter sweet" to prog-techy "serendipity" to tech-trancey "music" to maxienergetic "next to you".

and none of them sound the same (and no sandstormish stuff either, even though i still like sandstorm)

the man has done a great job without all the hype fuss and fake publicity.

major respects!

Yes, the album is actually pretty good, much better than i expected. Maybe he learned from the negative feedback many ppl have given and decided to move on from Sandstorm and make good music.

then i'll definitely check it out, even if i liked sandstorm too too bad he sticked to that formula over and over in his other productions

Posted by Technaut on Apr-18-2003 13:45:

darude was an okay tune at the time, until overplay killed it off :/

Posted by DJ Mikey Mike on Apr-18-2003 15:09:

i dont care what anyone says... Sandstorm was a fecking tune.

After hearing Darude - Music I expected something like this

Posted by VaNFeCto on Apr-18-2003 15:27:

Man its not that hard to believe i guess, I mean many people thought that darude was a good producer before sandstorm was over played. I mean i dunno I think ill check it out now, because I havent heard nething about it so it may be good.

Posted by daydreamer on Apr-18-2003 17:19:

Posted by milanster on Apr-18-2003 19:58:

u all gonna get banned for mentioning darude on this board

pretty kewl, im actually interesting in giving it a try

Posted by mr. poopyhead on Apr-18-2003 20:44:

i really like the new tracks too.. i've only heard music and next to you, but they're excellent... they're a VAST improvement from sandstorm... his new sounds are really clean... good stuff.. i really like the bostik remix of music...

might go out n buy this now, lots of gd comments abt it

For someone who could have sold out and raked in INSANE amounts of cash, this guy remained true to his style. That takes balls of steel in this kind of industry.

My major worry for Darude is that he will be stuck in the "comparing everything to sandstorm" wrut, which is one of the most uncreative forces imaginable. Hopefully DJs around the world will play his new stuff and ensure that he is still heard and respected for his creative ability, and not his ability to put out one tune...

Posted by Jocker on Apr-19-2003 00:11:

tiesto is already playing "next to you" in his sets

Posted by Machine Head on Apr-19-2003 01:17:

The album is amazing!
All 12 songs are pure gold!

Posted by Blithe on Apr-19-2003 01:47:

Darude? Pumping out something noteworthy? I'm impressed. Looks like I might have to invest in a copy of this. Sandstorm and feel the beat left too sour of a taste: left a bad image of darude in my mind.
