Skyscraper roof party
does anyone know if it is possible to rent rooftops on tall buildings in downtown TO (ie Scotia, manulife) ...I know this goes down for private parties in NYC and LA, just wondering if it has been done here. A restaurant with a 360 view would do as well. so if ppl kno about this please do tell.
i don't this it's widely done here and if it was i'm sure it'd be very expensive..
you might wanna try the CN tower, but that too will prolly be quite pricy ..
mmm skyscraper roof parties. Girls in sleek black dresses *drool*
Man, I'd definitely go to Toronto for a skyscraper party!! That sounds awesome

Hate to burst your bubble guys but this is not Beverly hills 90210 and right now is a bad time to have that kid of thing going. Imagine how much that would cost???? Rooftop partys (unless they are int eh ghetto) are very pricey. Altho it does sound nice but too exXxpen$ive.

We all invited?
Most of the roofs on the office towers in Toronto are not suitable for this: they either have AC equipment or radio tower equipment.
The only building I know that you could do this on (above 30 stories)is the maratime life tower (a part of the TD center - south of wellington though). The ML Tower has a running track on the roof (if you go to canoe for dinner you'll see it). I don't know how the gym would feel about renting out the running track for a party.
i'd say apartment buildings are where you'll have your best chance, but ya probably need to personally know someone... or, rent out the skybar at the Guvernment
then in that case, i say roof the Skydome or the CN tower for a wild party..
like said .. HOOK IT UP !!
ill talk to my super haha !
andre & nick from sonic state once threw a party on the rooftop of a building downtown... it was amazing, but it got shut down at like 2 am or something... :/
i wish someone comes up with another party like this!
This question runs right up my alley, since I'm a location scout.
Bucky has the right idea with condo units' rooftops- but then you would have to deal with noise complaints from the tenants. Most office buildings roofs I've been on always make me sign a release waiver before they take me up there, so that I don't sue them if I fall off and die, or something. Most office building rooftops aren't condusive (or zoned I'm guessing) for being a 'safe' place to party- ie: gravel flooring, protruding pipes/ chimneys/ wires everywhere, low barrier walls, and huge sunken 'pits' in the roof to house cooling towers.
Best bet would be to do it on a condo's roof and have it end early, or look into the rooftop at Atlantis, which is quite nice, but probably pricey.
