Why Oakenfold is # 1

EM: Liverpool, Ibiza, London, Gatecrasher, Miami
Fluoro

Live at cream

Close second's are Sasha, Digweed, Tiesto, Warren, PVD, Howells, Jimm Van M, Armin Van Buren, Quivver, Graham but none can match oakie at his peak.

USED TO BE.. is the key word

He does not push himself, is a lazy bum now.. 2 gigs in may?? yeah ok

While guys like pvd, armin and tiesto are touring everywhere, doing productions etc etc i have not seen nothing from oakenfold...

OMG how can you be a senior tranceaddict and still think that the dj that features a song on his mix compilation is the one behind the song?????

just because the man wants a little down time from a hectic travelling schedule...he is washed up??? he still has a weekly show, just as armin does (something that tiesto and pvd can't say). now of course i'm biased because i particulary like oakie, but you can't deny his ability to perform.

all that said...i think that a lot of people that are currently on the oakie hate wagon are gonna be drueling this time next year when oakie releases his new mix compilation thats coming out. just because he has been taking it easier then a WORLD TOUR doesn't mean that he's finished (and actually, he is currently on world tour...so watch for broadcasts).

Much Too commercial according to me,think about it: Bunkka had "I want to sell loads of records in the US" all over it.

Tiesto man, definitely #1, PVd close second

This is because this individual probably just downloads incorrectly labeled mp3s all day and doesnt support the artists by buying their work.

Yaaaaaawwwwn...

*BUMP* (my post count, that is)

Posted by Pointy on Apr-26-2003 07:06:

Yea its all good saying he's number one etc..but all that you have listed is OLD. Aite it's cool to reminice n all, but something he did 4 years ago cant be considered today. Oakie was good, and he's playing some good sets today, but he aint number 1...even if we consider everything he's done over his time. We know this, because Sasha is number 1 - Airdrawndagger, Northern Exposure Series, Global Underground 013 n 009, Countless quality Essential Mixes, QAT Collection

Posted by shoXx on Apr-26-2003 07:23:

Love Poundin' Sensation

Agree with Pointy. Oakenfold was number one back in 1999, been listening to his essential mix world tour alot lately. Amazing stuff.

Posted by DJDigDug on Apr-26-2003 08:14:

I am not going to flame, merely say this Oakey is not number one, wow he may have some great sets, but consistancy wise, he isnt there, consistancy is a must in a high ranking position especially number one, PVD always moves the crowd and is far more static than oakey, In addition i saw Oakey live, and i was not feeling him at all...
