How bout some recommended vinyl shops!
While alot of the time the posts are directed at the many terrible places to get vinyls, it would be a good idea for a post on some quality vinyl shops to order from.
I've been to this place I like (It's in Canada) www.djmr.com it's not the absolute widest collection but I liked what I saw. However you can't judge a book by its cover and I'll find out when my order shows up.
Anyone got any other ideas?
Release Records
Long track previews (up to 6 mins even).
Nice variety of progressive and tribal, but unfortunately they dont have as much trance up on their site.
not bad
Looks like a good all-rounder.
Nice flash layouts and canadian pricing is always a plus when you live here.
I'm sure you all know about www.chemicalrecords.co.uk, but they are the best out there in my opinion. I order all my vinyl from them, except for the random order from www.only-djs.com when they have exclusive releases. Pretty much the only two places I shop other than www.planetxusa.com since they're in the states. Can't go wrong with any of the three, I highly recommend them all.
we got some nice prices on those sites.
Keep it coming.
actually screw this post.
Its a damn good thing im still "in training"
the record stores are all listed right above this post, but I must be blind or something. I could have just knocked them off by process of elimination from the bad ones.
I'm such a n00b/moron.
was just about to say that they were all stickied at the top
I ordered from DJMR once, but being in the US, their Delivery time and small selection makes them not worth it for me.
I've ordered the vast majority of my stuff from groovetech. Their shipping is FAST and reliable, and their selection is decent. Probably the best overall website that I have used.
Lately I'm find that dancerecords has a lot good newer trance tracks that Groovetech doesn't, or at least doesn't advertise (I rely on the weekly or bi-weekly release and restock e-mails alot due to lack of time to browse through EVERY site's catalog). I find that groovetech doesn't do much with Vandit and Black Hole releases, which are some of the best new tracks in my opinion.
Those are the only three that I have experience with. Sometimes I find stuff on ebay that I can't find on a regular site. I've never had a bad experience on Ebay, but there's always a chance.
There is a sticky on this at the top of the DJ Forums.
See "The Record Store List".
www.dancegrooves.com is my favourite
