Whats better, Technics 1200 M3D vs MKII vs MK3??
I need to know which is better, cause I found some good deals on them...
there is no better..
its just that the M3D dosen't have the quartz lock @ 0, and the MKII does.. some people say the M3D feels weird cause it dosen't have it, but its up 2 you
pvd uses mkII's
i have mkII's also. i like them. they are nice
save 50$ and get the MK II's over the M3d's and take that 50$ and take your girlfriend out for dinner

M3D there is no lock at 0? that would be great, I hate trying to beatmatch around 0, cause there's always a slight jump when u hit 0.
There is no price difference between MK2 and MK3. I can get them both for $389.99 new. I personal have the MK3s because it's just a newer model. There is also the MK5G, but that's way too expensive.

| Originally posted by CarlosM Hi, Well.. ill try to explain.... in the MK2 When u are moving the Pitch Slider, you have the limits +8 and -8... so.. u can move the slider between this 2 Limits, in the Middle of them... there is the 0 Value. so.. u are in the 0 Value now, and when u want to move in the direction of +8 or -8 u will find i little CLICK when u are removing from 0. that could make a little darstic change in the speed and is not helpful when Djing. in The M3D the click is removed, and u just slide between all the slider very soft, no clicks.... I have Mk2, and I must admit that the CLick at 0 could be a little buggie, however, u can oped the pitch of the mk2, remove a little ball on it, and the click goes, i never have do it, but it can be done. I think will be better M3D. But then.. if u wanna Mix somewhere that has MK2 and u find with this little click, it can be Problematic... I can live with the click, and i know how to mix with it. Hope that helps. |
Thanks for the info Carlos. you're a good man. cheers =)

the MK5G are so expensive right now 'cause they come in from Japan. there is no american model out yet.
as soon as there is. I'm all over it! 'cause there's no way i can afford the japanese model.
MK5G
is there any set date for when these suckers are gonna be released in the states?
There is no huge difference between the technics.
I like the M3D one best because of the no quartz lock. But, besides that, there isn't much different.

Most of the stuff is used, but in great condition. Sorry about that price though, they dont go for that cheap, atleast the really nice ones dont (some pairs do go for $300-400), but you can get an excellent pair for $500-600.
