"...trance will never die..." - Dj Tiesto

The quote does mean a lot to me...
My whole life is involved with Trance music.
I listen to it b4 I go to skool, I listen to it after skool, almost all days long...I can't even realize how much time I spend listening ro it.
Sometimes it gets me in a good mood sometimes it makes me sad...
The power of this type of musik is ubelievably strong.
I dunno if there's a particular point of this thread but I wanted to know how much time do u spend listening to it or may be that kind of music is possibly even changing ur life?

True, but Tiesto doesn't seem to thank that. Trance will be around for a long time I think.

Yes maybe for 10 years or something, but then there will pop up something new, what most people like and trance will die. On this moment i am a trance adict, so I hope it never die

I always think what music will be like in the years to come. And I remember saying that when I was very young, and now I love Trance. Who knows what the future holds?

Posted by Blik on Jun-04-2001 13:14:

in 10 years there will be another type of electronic music which will be very populair, that's what I think

perhaps...but i truly believe we are slowly but surely reaching the prime of electronica. i mean jsut look at how the music industry is now in relation to electronic music....wow. it's really taken off. if trance does die...(which i hope not)...it will be a lonnnng wayz off that's for sure.

Yes i said it to above. that is just what I am thinking of.

I highly doubt that it will ever die. I was thinking about this last night. A lot of my friends like old rock and roll...skynard, floyd, tom petty. All of this stuff seems stagnet to me, like it is stuck in a time warp and never grows anymore. They can listen to the same song over and over again, and still like it? I mean, I can listen to a killer epic trance track a bunch of times and still love it...but I yearn for new tracks and new sounds all the time.

I don't think I could satisfy my music love by listening to anything but something that is growing. Trance is and has always been growing, I hope that it will never stop!

Yeah, to what music will we all listen in about 30-40 years? To all those crappy 60's like my parents do??? Maybe metal or R&B will be popular among us ,aged ones, then...

Posted by totalcarnage on Jun-04-2001 22:05:

Hell no, Metal and R&B suck...*yuk* I will be dropping and listening to trance well into my 70's!

Transformation

I listen to Trance all the time now, and I barely listen to any other types of music, that's mainstream. I like the style and the underground. But I'm open to other underground styles like House.

Trance will never die. It does die to transform and be reborn into the next phase of its revolution. The sound of Trance of today is never the same from yester years. The music is timeless. The past, the present, and the future infuses into one passion.

Trance is Passion.

Dude, I think you need to start thinking what the hell you're doing with your life

I love trance too, but you're taking it way too far... Anything taken to the extreme, is bad. I think you'll agree with me on that one.

Why do I like trance? Well, it's great to dance to. It makes me feel great. It's relaxing and at the same time captivating. But I don't listen to it because I'm looking for "soul in the music" or some larger-than-life emotions. For that I have other music. But trance plays a role in my life simply because, well, I like it! It's just cool, great, beautiful, excellent dance music that you can enjoy anywhere, whether it's a nightclub or your car. And that's an important thing in its own right.

Lightbulb

Now, regarding Tiesto's words that "trance will never die."

I love Tiesto, not only is he a famous DJ but he's also a great person. The guy has unbelievable charisma, I've seen him live. But I think when it comes to interviews he'd better stick to what he does best -- Dj'ing

Of course trance will "die" or fade away, for that matter all kinds of music dissolve or evolve with time. What will never die, though, is a rave-dance-music culture that centers around great danceable melodies, cool rhythms and a captivating atmosphere. And that is what trance is today. Even if our terminology changes over time, quality dance music that takes us on a journey will always stay.

LoL, I'm addicted to trance as much if not more than Trancefan...I listen to it on the bus to school, when I can in skool, on the bus ride home, in the car, at home on the compy, hell I even was listening to it in the winter when shoveling snow!

Posted by torontotrance on Jun-05-2001 01:38:

Tiesto is right because trance will just evolve into something else, same goes with house. Music seems to evolve these days.

Posted by TraNceFaN on Jun-05-2001 02:38:

music is something really important for me,especially trance...
It will never die out...

Posted by b16 integra on Jun-05-2001 04:21:

Thumbs up

i agree with trancefan..the power of trance is unlike any other type of music ive ever heard..i think that trance will stick around for many years, but it will go thru various stages. back in the days there was no electronic music, simply becuase there was no technology for it. now there will always be electronic music. it will never die. and i think trance will stick around for quite some time because of this. i certainly hope so.

re:trance will never die...

I love listening to live sets as well!
The yelling crowd gives'em something really unique
not too much of the crowd tho, like Judge @ Gatecrasher 2001 damn...
People sang along RBA - No ALternative u couldn't even hear the song itself!
What do u listen to the most albums? live sets?
I'd recommend plz get Scott Bond @ Baiabeach 2001 damn what a set!
