Which country is the best for success in DJ-ing?

by the way ..ive heard of many success stories...coming out of Israel

certainly not usa

in terms of talent id probably not say the UK even though there is talent, mainly because they have so many old DJ's who refuse to die :P the new school djs are coming out of countries like israel and australia where there is less of an old school DJ base

imagine trying to get ahead in the UK...argh!

Certainly not Belgium. Alot of known dj's and producers come from belgium, but here they're puked out... I'd rather say the netherlands is a good country...

Gatecrasher's nuts. But if it rains it will be a bummer. The scene in the UK is large and in charge. But as most will let u know it's not as heavy on trance. I like hard house and house and just about every djable genre, and the UK has VARIETY you'll see that at gatecrasher. Oh yea and Godskitchen r0xx mad s**t as well. Superclubs were born in the UK. (and Dutch ID&T)

So very true. I can't say for sure because I'm not too terribly familiar with the Europe scene, but it has to be a country in Europe. I'd definitely say its either the UK, The Netherlands, or Germany.

yeah. we're mainly followers here in canada... well in the GTA anyway. nothing really special happening with new talent and such.

it's not fair I tell ya.

there are many stories from israel..
the psytrance from israel is very good but i dont like them ;]
i like yahels old stlye but i dont like infected and astrix and these...
i think holand and Germany Are very Succesful...
most if the clubtrance i heard is german..

As a Belgian, i have to admit(eventhough it hurts to admit it cuz we belgians have a born hate against dutch people) that holland is a very good country for trance...

No need to get angry. I'm sure some might find it offensive. Not to mention whos gonna wanna join a hothead like you now? Unless you just forgot to take ritalin or some s^&*. I like some of Mario Piu's stuff anyway. You can't bash an entire country cause of a genre (italo-dance and such...). It's not like they have a non existent underground too u kno.

WTF? Have u some problem with Italy?

I know that an italian trance scene doesn't exist but it's not a my fault and not all Italian trance suck, NU-NRG R0x!

as if! canada has had its share of decent dj's come here... all the best dj's in the world have come here. canada has alot of talent to offer, luke fair, mistress barbara, richie hawtin, etc. max graham even lived in ottawa for a good period of time!

yeah i hear you on that

i think that is part of the reason of the deterioration of the toronto scene

for 2 years it was the exact same djs at the exact same venues week in and week out

now im starting to see a lot more diversity in the line ups but i think its too late
now all the events are really small and usually end up with people booking their friends

I'd have to say Holland,,, Belgium,,, Germany,,, England (in no order ;-))

Anywhere in the UK pretty much,,, sure there are good track that are produced in other countries but let's be serious here

The US has quite a bit of skratch djs that own.

For trance you just have to come to us whehehe ... i think skandivia is getting warm 4 trance now don't know if it's realy so

In the antarctic, there is very little dj talkent. I run a club for penguins called "snow ball" and the best I could get for a Friday night (the big night) was Tiesto which was a waist of time. It seems these days, penguins are more up for hardcore than anything else. I don't understand.
