Mostly trance mix -- comments wanted

I've mostly been mixing for several months now but this is the first mix I've posted on TA. Here's one I did yesterday afternoon. It's actually the first one I've done since I bought my second TT.

Anyway, I realize the tracklisting is full of classics and such, but you have to work with what you've got.

I'd greatly appreciate any comments, suggestions, and constructive criticism you guys have to offer. The track listing follows:

As far as equipment and such:
� Pioneer DJM-500
� Technics SL-1200MK2
� Technics SL-1210M3D

I only used MP3s for songs 4, 5, and 6, but the rest is on vinyl. For those MP3s, I use Traktor (v1.x, even though I have v2.x), with two separate output channels on my sound card going to the mixer. I recorded with Cool Edit.

BTW...if you have trouble downloading at a decent speed, I apologize. A friend hosts my mixes for me, and if I hosted it on my regular site I'd have some major bandwidth quota issues. Sometimes that server is lightning fast, whereas other times it could use a little kick.

I've listened it, it's a good set.
Beatmatching is always ok, so also Gain/Eq/Volume level and transitions are harmonics.
The only thing that i don't like much is the position of 3rd Hearth, i think that it's break the build-up, i have put it before in the tracklist. But it's only a my opinion...

I definitely agree with you about 3rd Earth. I'll probably use a shorter, edited version of it next time I use it...its so long and there are several places where it almost becomes anticlimactic. Still a good tune, but I'm glad they're working on it before its release.

Pulser - My Religion was extremely good!

tracklisting was good. However when everything got hard with "Can U dig it," I thought you were going to finish your set hard but you mixed into Albinoni which was kind of ackward in my opinion.

mixing was ok. I thought most of your mixes were very short....usually DJs with aggressive mixing style has short mixes. But you didn't sound like you were trying to be aggressive with your mixes though. You had this really harmonic, smooth mixing (try to make it longer though)....good job. Last thing, it was really easy to notice your mixing because i got that "oh here comes the next song," feeling instead of "oh, here comes new noise" feeling. Anyway, nice job with your mix cd. It's solid, keep it up.
