Fl Studio - The Verdict
Now that FL Studio 4.10 Producer Edition is out in all it's glory.
What do you all think?
Personally, i am very impressed, the vocooder is better than i first thought, the playlist is much improved, and the new mixer is fantastic.
In these hard times, its times like these that give us time.
I still havn't realy discovered the new stuff that come with it....
but i just love how you can ake each pattern in a different lenght, and that mixer is

And the audio recording part of fruity wasn't THAT great really.

Originally posted by arctic Yeah, same here. The eq etc in the mixer is really improving my songs. And i am now free to use a lot more fx...since there are 64 fx tracks. Before, i really needed more, but this has solved it nicley.
and it can save so much time and place man.
i actually haven't spent that much time working with it lately...stupid tests hehehe, but i also like the new eq in the mixer and the added fx tracks...one thing i'm gonna play with a lot this summer is the audio clip stuff for the second part of the playlist...it'll be much easier to remix something with that...
yeah, i agree with the routing point.
The boo bass was a bit of a disapointment for trance....but hey....it isnt intented for that i spose.
It's also good to see that 4.10 is much more stable that 4.01....

Originally posted by Project T you could do that in 3 anyways, i'm still using 3.56, much more stable, if i want something from 4, just wave it and import it, i'm really not a fan of the new playlist at all, very much like e-jay...
....
Ever since I went to cubase I haven't played with FL all that much. I'm a registered FL Pro owner, does that give me the 4.0 version, or do I have to buy an upgrade?
Thanks!
must say im quite impressed with it myself.
the new playlist takes a while to get used to, but once you get used to it you will really like it.
personally what i like best about it, is the ability to add more effects, thats what fruityloops was lacking before.

anyone know how much it costs? in CDN or american
the playlist is much nicer now, and i don't think it should be too complicated to get used to coming from fl3.. i like the fact that u can copy/paste way easier, and also u can select your patterns in the playlist and then just drag them to the left or right so that if you want to add more patterns to the beginning, u wouldn't have to cut/paste, or my case sit there and actually click/unclick each box because i couldn't figure out how to copy/paste before.. well i think fl4 is a significantly upgraded version and well worth the money.. thats my 2 cents. also, just as everyone else said, the fx routing is great!

Originally posted by Eugene btw, please tell me, how do I easily move boxes (i.e. copy/paste) in the playlist in FL 3? Cause right now I, too, do it manually, and it sucks...
Anyone remember, back in the day, when fruityloops had that black and white, vertical playlist with those ugly ass dots? Man it has come such a long way.
