Good vocals added at a later date

We all know the phenomenon. A great track gets made, then some twat adds some terrible vocals over it.
BUT sometimes they get it right:-

Cass & Slide - Perception (vocal mix)
Nalin & Kane - Beachball (vocal mix)

I reckon the vocals added to these two really worked.

Any more you can think of??

yup i agree. the vocals make those tunes sound wank. i cant think of any instances where the vocals improved a track, but i can think of 2 more tracks that were made shit by vocals, and they were push - strange world and warrior - if u want me.

I agree. Especially Ligaya. Awful The only ones I can think of that actually made the track better, or at least did not make it worse are Cass & Slide - Perception.

From the lost language re-release last year???? I have that, but is just 'Armin Van Buuren remix'. No vocal present, BUT reading inside the cover it says vocals by Elizabeth fields - who did the vocals for speak in sympathy.

I think the edit may have the vocal on - but I've never listened to the edit, coz edits are evil.

The vocals are OK, actually. Not as good as the instrumental version but good nonetheless.

Qattara - Come With Me

This was originally released back in March 1996 on Steel Fish Records (first releaase on the label) titled as "Qattara - Qattara". A year later (3/97), it was signed to Positiva and Qattara made a new vocal mix of the track and renamed it to "Come With Me". I own the original Steel Fish vinyl with the "Pure Mix" and the "Green Mix" and can honestly say that although both are excellent, the vocals made all the difference to this track.

Tilt - Invisible with the vocals from Dominique Atkins (Grace) is also great. The original Perfecto release of "Rendezvous" just over a year earlier was great but the vocals and the inclusion of a superb Lost Tribe Mix brought gave the track a new life.
