Good deal or not for a car?
Ok on Thursday night i looked at the trading post and saw a Mitsubishi Magna Excecutive 89' for $2000 (I'm not rich so don't laugh
), the owner was a granny so they wouldn't have thrashed it (i hope not
), anywayz the milage thing had only done 67000km..
I can drive this tomorrow cause i gotta deal with the bloody insurance companies and stuff..
Was this a good deal?
that era of magnas are fuckin shit. 2000 is prolly about right for such a bucket of trash
Well it's a first car, second car i'm trying to get a Skyline or WRX or 300zx..
BUT this was only a runabout car to make me go from A to B.
I hope you got one with power steering cause they are like driving a brick on wheels with out it.
For $2k with that many km's sounds orrite. its a 2.6ltr 100kw engine so it has a little bit of go. For getting you from a-b it will do fine.
Enjoy your first car and drive safe!

REALLY!! Damn it is a automatic, i was hoping to get a manual but the person i bought it off couldn't drive manual so he bought the auto...
OH well...i guess it will do me good.
AND whenever i get more money to get a motorbike i really wanna get the Suzuki Hayabusa, only $20000...but thats after i get my second car.
yeah, well just dont thrash it out, cos that shitty transmission will be slipping in no time
audi a4 turbo in 2 weeks
hehe i was going to buy a magne 89 but woke up to myself. now i'm getting a skyline
Well, whether you think magna's are a shit car or not is a matter of opinion. I think personally that the fact that the car has only done 67,000 kms and was owned by a grandma is a pretty good sign. I dont think you'll start having any major problems for at least the next 50,000kms. So i think its a good buy.
im looking for a nice suberu impreza rx for my next car, something with the ability to have grunt and also is fkn awesome on fuel... hopefully a 95 - 97 model coz the ones with the bugeyes just look shit imo
two things my dad always said to me
- never buy an old mitsubishi

not a bad deal given its only done 67,000 and that its only for A to B
just make sure it is serviced regularly (every 5,000 for that sort of car) to make sure all is in order.
