The Results from Track of the Year

Sorry for the delay, they were worked out but i wanted JayD to post them as he ran it all, but still he hasnt, official results:

Solar Stone - Solar Coaster = 86 votes
Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun = 81 votes
Plastic Boy - Silverbath = 73 votes
James Holden - Nothing = 52 votes
Solid Sessions - Janeiro 2002 = 41 votes

Solar Coaster takes the honours

Great tune perfectly sums up last summer in Ibiza for me

Any winner is always going to be contraversal with so many great tunes and difference of opinion

Capetown -Pitstop and WOW Mindcircus Gabriel & Dresden Mix should have been in there though imo

How about next time we have the nomination thread and then simply one big poll for every track that gets 3 or more nominations?

there where other better songs that last year that didn't make the list. oh well..
it did take rather long to come up with the list though.. maybe a new strategy on counting the votes should be thought of.

I think its a cool idea to pit songs head to head and have multiple rounds, but i think maybe there could be more rounds and a shorter voting span. Pick 32 songs, and do it elimination style, one on one (choose matchups randomly). If you do a week of voting per round, you could have a TOTY in feb =]

Well I'm talking about Sirocco - Destination, which is by Solar Stone. I think youre talking about DT8 - Destination, which is by Darren Tate.

Personally thought that 'Janiero' was a stetch to come this far... it is good, but I don't think a remix was something that could take top honors for 2002... would be a kind of sad year. Although I'm glad that 'Solarcoaster' won... definitely one of the top tunes of 2002, although I would have preferred 'Silverbath'
