Haha, are you kidding?

No you don't need to have graduated from high school (usually).

BUT

Ditching high school and placing all your bets on DJ'ing - a highly volatile and uncertain trade - you might not even make it - most people don't! - is VERY VERY risky.

Dude, just stick with school.

Posted by Endlesswave on May-07-2003 03:32:

Go to school, learn something.

Posted by DJ A.i on May-07-2003 04:51:

OMG... come on... everyone needs to graduate highschool. college may not be for everyone, but highschool is. everyone should graduate or atleast die try'n. without your GED u will not get anywhere in life. im serious.... well, unless you are some genius kid that drops out b/c u found a way to cure world hunger. do yourself and your parents a favor and graduate!

Posted by quddha on May-07-2003 05:32:

dude, don't bank your future on becoming a full-time dj. Its like giving up school to become a pop/rock star... chances are very slim. If it happens, then great, but you must have a back-up plan.

Posted by -CosmicFire- on May-07-2003 11:09:

dont..
coz u cant be a dj all the time
and it never means that ull be a very good dj like tieso avb pvd and all...

In my high school we learned how to spell "you're" correctly.

Just pointing out some hypocrisy...

p.s. What's with Brampton and people not finishing high school?

I don't think being a DJ requires you to have finished high school, I am sure there are plenty of DJs who havent finished school.

yah but he hasn't said that he is actually quitting school in order to become a DJ. I got the impression he'd already quit school.

I agree that its in everyone's best interests to get as much education as you can.

If you don't want to gradute from high school atleast get a GED or something similar.

Don't just finish up high school but college as well.

Seriously.

I would not put all my eggs in one basket on an industry as volatile as the DJ business.

That's because English isn't his native language, dutch is. Stay in school...it usually takes DJ's many, many years before they can get to the point where their main source of income is DJing. You're gonna need a job in the mean time, and to be honest, there's no way to know you'll still wanna be a DJ ten years from now. You'll be kicking yourself if you're working at pizza hut and living in a crackhouse because you never graduated high school or college.

dont listen to these crazy Dj's.

You dont need highschool for anything, drop out and become a dj.
More time to practice, and less time in math. If you want to be really cool, do alot of crazy drugs, and start fights with cops. I heard that helps you become a very cool dj also.
(putting eggs in baskets is also fun)
(Capps lock 4 life)

Confused

I've thought I had seen it all until now. But this has to be the doubtest thread ever!!

If you are asking if you need to graduate high school to become a dj, you are already too dumb to become a dj.

Posted by Flash Bastard on May-08-2003 10:35:

Lol why do you need school 4 .. i mean i stopped school because i didn't learned a thing.. yeah writing and mathmatics but the last years where so boring, i mean if you realy wanna learn something, i think you must do a world trip, for some months you see alot, you hear alot, you see different side's of every story because you are a outsider

And 4 the dj thing ... if you wanna be famous you only need to turn good and have a bit luck
