Tips for overcoming low torque while scratching?
I have numark tt-100s. when I try to cut really fast, the torque just can't keep up, and it all falls apart. i can cut like...at a quarter note speed on a battle break. I put wax paper over my platter, but, it's not enough. any technique advice?
when i used to use my old gemini's with low torque i would just have to drop the record a bar ahead then fixed it up the next bar...then bring it live
it sucked but you gotta make due with what you have
oops you said scratching...i thought you said mixing
umm...buy some technics
This might just make a SMALL difference...
But, try to put between your slipmat and the plat. some of that waxpaper you find in some records... Cuz it out in the form of the platter.
It makes quite some noise when you scratch, but the sounds won't be picked up.

if you are scratching it shouldn't make mush difference, just stick the tt on 45 or 72 if you have it to try and give it some more torque
