Any good brakbeat tracks?

Could someone tell me the names of some good breakbeat tracks? It doesn't matter whether they're new or old, since I've never been much into breakbeat before.

dj jean - the lauch (breakbeat remix)

.....
hehe, just kidding. All i can say is that if u want breakbeat, u want Hybrid. They create some real nice tracks and do UNBELIEVEABLE remixes of a variety of genres and it's always SOLID.

I've only heard DJ Icey's remixes such as We Are Alive and Punk, and they are great. He's got an album out, but i never really went though it, u might want to get that mix out

Rank 1 - Airwave 2003 (Breathing) (Breaks Dub) is pretty nice

I don't know man. I guess I'm just out of it cause i always thought of Hybrid as DnB .
As for breakbeat... well I've been listening to it for a little while, Grayarea's my favorite (more trancey breakz) while Icey is the biggest and obviously he's good (how could he be so popular - well that's a matter of opoinion). Any of his mix cd's will introduce you to some main players (Plump DJs, Tsunami One,city wide allstars etc.) Don't forget other such artists as DJ Zinc, Red Star and Mara. And biggie Afrika Banbaata (usually with the Soul Sonic Force). Try this track out if you like the analog synths and deep drum rolls that grayarea produce.
grayarea - yewminyst

PVD Nothing But You (cirrus mix). I just got this the other day. The other mixes suck though IMO.

p.s. It's on MUTE records. I don't know if they are a part of vandit or not, but at least they know how to press records correctly.

yep you are out of it :P, Hybrid are considered trancey breaks, check out some of the mixes of joy dont stop by joy kitikonti good ch00nage in there, i also nabbed a PVD set out of miami good electro breaks in there, haha type in Miami its teh break capitol of the world so there is bound to be some good sets from there, DJ Santana is a good breakbeat DJ from Florida. Breakbeats are great, ive only dabbled in em but i enjoy em.

Posted by jonnycarcinogen on May-09-2003 05:36:

DJ Santana's site is good to check out, he normally puts up two free mixes for d/l per month -- one trance, one breaks. This month he has up an old school electro mix which is definitely worth it to check out. His site: Djsantana
The mixes are under the music section.

no mute is not part of vandit....but vandit release their records in the US through mute. so when u get mute records ur gettin domestic and when u get vandit ur gettin import which is a lil more expensive.

Ok. Thanks for clearing that up. They are selling that same record on the Vandit store though, which I'm pretty sure is based in Germy.
