Can someone help me with wat compilation to get?

Im not new to trance, however im wondering if anyone can tell me about the different genres and which famous djs fit into some of them. Mainly i am wondering about who is considered "progressive." I am also looking for some nice compilation CDs if anyone can recommend me any. Thanks.

okay, here's the deal for full cd's dl the magik series (by dj tiesto, uplifting); and all his other cd's, for progressive dl everything by sasha and/or digweed, like independance night, northern exposure and stuff
for good dj's look for: ferry corsten, armin van buuren, paul van dyk, sasha, john digweed, dj fuzion, johan gielen, ......

JD is right about Sasha & Digweed - Independence Night
Truely great album that
very recomended

others to add to your list would be

Timo Mass - Connected
oooo this is such a cool album

and for a lot of the different genres try the Euphoria Series
they cover a lot from Hard house, progresive, epic/uplifting trance and ambient trance.
there is currently 12 Double albums in the Euphoria Series

Smiley DJ

Get:

These are all progressive albums. And JDark, I wouldn't consider "ferry corsten, armin van buuren, paul van dyk....[or] johan gielen" progressive at all. They are "euro" trance by every definition of the term.
